Mauve Irises At The Cottage...

Even though, as I had previously stated, that my Irises weren't as good this year....Look what was up this past weekend!!!

The funny part is....there is only ONE!!

The colour is out of this world....

Lavenderey...Bluey...Mauvey....
...what other words can I make up to describe this fabulous colour??

The center is an unbelievable orangey
colour...there's another one!!!

Have a look...and then tell me...this is not one of the most georgeous Iris colour YOU  HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!

I guess the colour of this African Violet is very similar to this Iris....

How would you describe it??

Come on....give it a try...

:o)

Hope you all had a great lavenderey day!!!!
Having some rain right now....good for the garden....

                         Cheers!                       :o)

    1. HI Lisa:
Iris are more a fleshy rhizome...not really a bulb...do you have them in Britain??? They are really a late spring flower...then they are gone, but they maintain a nice foliage...
