Sunporch and Garden Shed

Our screened SunPorch at the cottage, is our MOST favorite spot....

You can eat out there...when we have guests, we sit in there for hours..listening to music...and having "refreshments"..after dinner....tee hee hee

Spend some quiet time by yourself, watching the world go by...

Morning coffee is even more delicious out there...

It is a GREAT place for a Scrabble match...

I love doing my crosswords out there...with a tall cool drink...

We sit out there on steamy evenings...bug free...listening to CD'S...and dancing like we are still in high school....

It truly is the heart of this cottage...

I finally stuffed a few annuals into the planter box on my shed...there is a Sedum from last year...if the annuals fade, I simply add something new...and usually some Mums in the fall....love the shed [shunda] tee hee hee....:o)

A few years ago, I picked up 2 back-of-the-door mirrors at a thrift shop, and attached them to the inside of each of the shed doors...so.......when the doors are open, it reflects the garden....really improves the view!!  :o)

I made up another basket on the weekend...found a Hosta buried under the day lilies....the day lilies are REALLY huge this year....how are yours doing?? Hope they are lush blooms...

My White Cosmos are doing fantastic in my baskets at the cottage...I actually picked up 8 more today, at the Greenhouse, here at home....They are....I think...a wonderful annual....they flower right 'til frost...and I think they make excellent photography
subjects....

Here's to the Cosmos....HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!

Another humid day here....kinda cloudy...kinda rainy...went to Fitness, the Greenhouse and then did a PILE of ironing...won't bore you with pictures of that!!!!   Gonna make a meatloaf, with roast potatoes, zuccinni and my world famous tomato, avacado ,red onion ,black olive, fresh basil, goat cheese and olive oil salad... for dinner..ok...ok...I know...now THAT is boring....:o)

It actually did rain this afternoon...but now the wind has picked up, the sun is out, and it feels less humid...think I'll go and sit in the backyard...

Hope you are all having a great Tuesday....

                                         Cheers!            :o)

  1. The sun porch looks lovely in the sun. You should do a blog about the night time goings on in the sun porch, with all your tealights and candles all lit up. That would look gorgeous!

  3. I love your sunroom and your cute shed! Lucky you!! That rain is coming here tomorrow afternoon with showers. Oh well, we've had 3 nice days in a row. I planted pink cosmos amongst the perennials. I like the airiness of them. I hope they do well. Pam

  4. Crosswords and Scrabble . . . You're one of those people that beats everybody! I can never get anybody to play with me. Your screened porch is perfect for that. Shoot, perfect for everthing as you have pointed out. I like that mental picture of you guys dancing! A screened porch is one of my myriad fantasies. How did I miss following you? Did you just get your follow doodad up? Thanks for your very nice comment. It made my very crazy tiring day!!!

  5. Your sun porch is gorgeous! I can see why it's the heart of the home. Your idea of the mirrors in the shed windows is a great one. So much better than looking at dark space inside the shed.
