Picasa Made Me Do It.....

 Picasa made me do it...

Apparently I have used up my whole 1GB [whatever that means] of photo storage...

I either have to BUY more storage...

NOT...

Or delete some of my photos...

So....

I spent about 1 hour deleting photos...

My problem is...I download TOO many..and I don't use them all in that particular post...

It is difficult to delete....as they all look nearly the same!!!!

SO...........I have done what I can do....

BUt......it takes 24 hours to readjust itself...[give me back some of my storage]...so I will have to wait until the morning...

And.......Hope for the best...

In the meantime.......I have chosen a few of my pics...already in Picasa...

For your viewing pleasure this evening...

A few pics of my fabulous Micanthus Grasses at the cottage...and a few from home...

You may have already seen a few of these....but twice is the charm!!

Keep your fingers crossed....that my deletions give me some more space...

And some ribbon grass in my "travelling garden"...

Believe it or not...this was taken New Years Eve..2 years ago..

This was before we added the beach deck...

My boyfriend reading...surrounded by the grasses...in the late day Sun...

Hope that wasn't too many pictures for
you all...

Let's hear a big HOORAH for the
Miscanthus......

SHHHHHH...

Vivian is asleep...

Don't want to wake her up  :o)

Well....

I do!!!!

Hope you all had a great day...

           A wee bit sunnier today...

             Enjoy your evening...

                                   Cheers!   :o)

  1. Just a thought on storage ... do you resize your photos before uploading? That should save you some space. Also you can use places like Photobucket to store and link images to your blog.

    1. My son showed me how to download and resize in my FLICKR...but I have only been doing that lately...don't know how to resize in Picasa when uploading...Any thoughts?? Perhaps I will look into that photobucket...I also have photos on Shutterfly....Thanks!!

  2. I've reset my picasa account twice since I stared blogging! It's only $5.00. I watermark most of the pics I post so that ends up making doubles of them as well as any that I edit otherwise. It adds up really fast! I like your photos of all the grasses at the cottage in every season. Beautiful!

  3. OMG!! Linda you should have asked me .... You did not have to delete pics to get more space.
I had the same problem and found out how to work around this.
Go to the bottom of your dashboard page where is says help... click on that and then go to the top of the page and type in picasa, then go to add more storage then to your albumns. Click on each picture and resize them. as long as each picture is at 800x600 pixels you will gain more storage. If this sounds to weird then contact me.

  5. Hi Linda. What absolutely stunning photos! Such a pretty place!!
I get an occasional charge of 5.00 to my account for photo storage. I don't mind. To me, it is a small price to pay for blogging. Much cheaper than Wordpress, or some of the other blogs that do charge a monthly fee.
    Your little lovie is precious!!!
