FInished An Afghan For My Daughter....

This was part of that big bag of wool that I brought with me....

I seem to make the same pattern...

Guess I like the way it looks...

One row sc...

One row dc...

Both in the back loop...

This time....

i added 3 stripes in the middle....

In a nice soft fluffy wool....

Green...Mocha....and a creamy white...

Added a few "popcorn" puffy things at the end...

I spied an afghan on one of my favorite blogs....Cabin & Cottage...

And Jacqueline told me that she gotten it at a thrift shop...

It is gorgeous...and she said I could borrow the picture....[will share later]

To try and figure out the pattern...

It has "popcorn" stitches...so that is why I added them to this afghan...

To see if I could do it....looked it up....and figured it out...

Wish I had seen her afghan before I started this one...

BUT.......

Another project for me...

One can never have too many afghans....!

Sure hope my daughter likes it....:o)...it is for her b'day in April...

We are back from Busch Gardens.....and boy....are we bushed!!!

It was a nice day outing....loads of people...lots to see....

Will take a look at my pics, and see if any are blog worthy....

Just going to sit in the sun....the sunset will be in about 1 hour...

On the menu tonight...

Spaghettti and Meat Sauce....garlic buns....ceasar salad...

Hope you all had a great day...

One more week for us.....gosh....it goes so quickly...

               But.......I can't wait to see Vivian again...:o)

             Cheers!   :o)

  2. I checked out that throw at Cabin and cottage and
it definitely is a popcorn stitch.
My Mom used to knit this stitch into her sweaters.
I'm sure there is a pattern still out there.

  6. Those are so my colours, so if for some strange reason your daughter doesn't like the afghan, you can send it my way. But I just know that she will love it.
