Nothing Picture-Worthy In My Garden Today.....

 Last year..

At this time...

I had so many things in the garden....

This year...

Only tiny green shoots...

Nothing...

Picture-worthy...

So...

We will revisit...

Last years...

Spring....

At my house!!

Pansies...

Tulips...

Forsythia branches...

Filled my planter at my front door...

This year.... we just pulled the evergreens out from Christmas!!!

My Ferns by the front door...

Were unfurling...

Today....

Nothing!!

Keep in mind...

These photos...

Are...

All...

From last Spring...

Climbing Hydrangea...

Lovely lush leaves...

Perennial Lungwort...

Perfectly pinky-purple blooms...

This year...

Nothing...

Perennial Bamboo...

Busting out...

Nothing  today!

Bi-ennial Money Plant...

or...

Lunaria...

Also my Delphinium is up and at'em!!

This year...

You guessed it...

NADA!!!

Flirty Forsythia...

Nothing happening yet this year...

Peonies...

Today..I saw a tiny red "bud" showing thru the soil...

Scillia...

Today, just some small shoots...

I did some raking this afternoon...

Cleaned the feeders...and re-filled...

Nothing worth taking photos of...

Nice and warm today....perhaps this will help things along...

Getting some more rain tonight....again....must be positive...

Good for the plants...

This is the slowest Spring I can remember...

How about you???

On the menu tonight...

        BBQ'D Cajun Cod....BBQ'D Potatoes....Yellow Beans...

                Ceasar Salad with radishes...

Hope you are all having a great day...

                            Cheers!   :o)

  2. I'm just taking a break from being outside ... moved out more pots, put up a few more decorations, raked lots of leaves off some perennials ... and my favourite ... making piles ... piles of leaves, piles of old twigs, piles of old plant shoots. Nothing really happening in the garden, lots of plants up just a bit, hopefully some sun and warmth will encourage more growth. As you said, nothing worthy of taking photos.

Now to decide what to have for dinner.

    1. I love making those piles as well...and then my boyfriend comes and scoops everything up for me!!!
It is a tradeoff...as I get crazy when he starts fiddling around my plants...
Steps on everything....or just pulls it out!!! hahaha!
      Rain due this evening...oh well!

  3. Hard to believe how lovely it was last spring and how late everything seems this spring. With the coming rain and warmth everything is going to just burst forth with life!

  4. these are so beautiful cc girl! i had some catching up to do on your posts.
but in a way it was like a little feast. a smorgasbord! LOL.
i guess miss spring is just resting. or sleeping in. as it were.
here it's to get almost to 80 again. then drop back down to 34. or even less.
the minute their pretty little heads come out ~ BAM! the freeze or frost or hail or sleet gets'em. again. and over again. so sad.
oh well. survival of the fittest. as in everything. as always. on this strange planet. xo!

  5. Wow, amazing how it can be so different, year to year! Such pretty things you have in your yard.
Tell me now, with just you and your husband at home, do you cook a big meal every night? My husband eats lunch out with customers every day, and often comes home not too hungry at night. When it is just us, I make lighter fair. Last night, BLT's with fresh avocado, and boy was it goooood!

  6. It's so depressing isn't it? I think last year we were all quite spoiled with the early spring weather. I'm sure this is almost normal and we'll see great improvement in a week or two. My friend has a Scillia in bloom at her house and we didn't know what it was. Now I can tell her. :)

  7. Well I see the bad weather has not stopped the barbecue! I am not gloating here on the West coast. Nope, not me. I wouldn't gloat about the foot high perennials and the blooming magnolias. Never. I just wouldn't.
What a difference a year can make.
