A Rebuttal......Of Sorts....

I am a bit confused...

My post yesterday...

Was...

Mostly...

Supposed to be...

About...

Tanning cream...

But...

I am not feelin' the love....

Sooooo...

In my defence...

I do not wear that much make-up...

Eye shadow...

Blush...

Mascara....No foundation or face powder...

Just lip gloss....

I thought I was a pretty skimpy make up wearer...

I thought I was toting the praises of Tanning Cream...

Opposed to ACTUAL tanning....

I use it ALL YEAR LONG...as I think...it makes one {me} look better...

Healthier....glowing....alive....vibrant...

But...

I took my chances at this post...and I failed miserably..

No problem....I'm a big girl....I can take it!!!!

After all.....I guess I asked for it!

I am always trying to look my best...no matter how OLD I get...

Which will be 64 in February...

Hopefully my daughters will make sure I look my "best", when I say my final farewells....

It is definetly back to flowers, crochet, gardens and cooking for me...

BUT...

When I have an off-topic day...

I can honestly say...

"If It Were Me".....

As the tag says...{saved this tag from a sweater about 2 years ago...hangs
                                       around my cotton ball jar...just to remind me..}

Perhaps I will start another blog...

To vent...

Stray from the mainstream...

Air myself out...

Actually voice MY opinion on things...{I must remember my estro-gel today...feeling touchy!}

Who am I kidding...it'll never happen...

I am a Nature Lover thru and thru...

Just wanted to share something a little offbeat...♥

                                     ********

Ok...climbing down from soap-box now....

Hope you are all having a great day....

Pretty darn crappy here........

Enjoy your evening..♥

                     Cheers!  :o)

  1. I didn't read it as you were in support of tanning, but giving your advice on using the cream.
I think it is interesting to read other things about people instead of what is normally expected at a blog. That is why I try to do a variety of posts on mine, but never include anything too personal.
Keep tossing in the odd post about whatever you think. Remember you can't please all of the people all of the time.

  2. I liked that post! I don't know why people had a problem. I thought it was funny and a good read. I don't wear much makeup myself but not because I'm opposed to makeup, I just don't have time for it in my day right now. If I'm vain about anything, it's my hair. I have nice hair naturally but I like to take the time to blow it dry and straighten it and bump the ends under with the big round brush...the way I see it, if your husband compliments your hair every single day, you know you've got a good thing going. Haha. :)

      Thanks for coming back, Jennifer!

  3. You know what I am going to say Linda, write what you want, say what you want - or not - do not tie yourself in knots or you will end up like me, and that is not a pretty sight! I don't think that your post was about anything other than I use these things, I think they are great, thought you might like to know in case you might like them too. It was just the same as all of your other lovely posts, but about a different topic. Keep going, if this is something you want to explore, do it. If you want to express a few opinions, go for it. Might do us all some good. You give great advice, so we might learn something from you if you have something to share. And as you would say to me, share what you want or not! Your choice. Love ya either way! xx

  4. Well, I wear more makeup than you! haha. I think everyone looks better with some! I just like the look and feel like I'm looking my best instead of just average. I loved hearing about the products you love, too....everyone has their favorites that they've used for years. I'm that way with Oil of Olay products...used them for years and they have some fairly new ones that I love, too and use every day.

I say write about what you want and if you get a few comments that make you feel like that, welcome to the club. I've had a few....haha. There will always be critics...just be yourself!

    1. I totally agree, Betsy...everyone looks better with make-up...
      And....with a subtle glow...from awesome tanning creams!!!
My daughter gave me some OLAY Regenerist Night Recovery Cream....
Feels like Velvet going on...wonderful stuff!!!
I use only OLAY on my face....love it too!!
      Thanks for answering the rebuttal!!

  5. I am totally oblivious to tanning cream, but I do like at least looking like I have one. I'm probably foolishly not as afraid of the sun as most people today, but then again I've never been a "baker" either, at least not as far as myself. I find myself more wary of sunscreen than sunshine and fear for all the little ones who are absorbing all those sun-blocking chemicals into their bodies.

I say write whatever you want too. I liked your post about tanning cream. (I'd have liked it if it was about whipped cream too!) Don't let anyone scare you away from writing what is on your heart. We all get a critic once in a while. I was told I should move out of the country five years ago when I voiced a concern for the fervor over the new president. Of course, the critic remained "anonymous" and I still have my concerns, but that is another subject altogether. Tanning cream is pretty harmless.

With your beautiful blonde hair, you could be a California Girl!!!
That sure is a creepy comment....my spammer kept telling me "Get a real life"...WHAT????
This is my darn real life...and it involves tanning cream!!!!
      Enjoy your day, Martha...♥

  6. Who had a problem with your post? People said they either wore makeup or didn't wear makeup or sunworshipped or didn't. To each his own, I say. We are all different and we should celebrate that. You post about tanning cream etc, was lovely as always and I think I will buy a bottle or two! Blog about whatever you want. They are ALL good!
