Welcome October!!

As I walked about the garden yesterday...

I saw quite a few things, that reminded me of Fall color..

The bright red of the sunshine Impatience stems...

Hopefully some more blooms yet to come...

 And a small waxy begonia...

Nourishing some new blooms...

To extend the season even longer...

The Porcupine Grass outside the kitchen window, is sending out lots of feathery plumes...

To enjoy all winter...

*************

On the house...

The Boston Ivy is starting its Fall colors...

There will be red, yellow and green all mixed together...

For a spectacular show...
This Limelight Hydrangea sent out one flower spike, after I rescued him  from being buried under a ton of Day Lilies...

So glad I found him....I will keep a close eye on him for next year!!!

Perhaps that bloom should come inside...and sit on my desk in a pretty vase!

Yes...I shall do that....tomorrow....yes....tomorrow!!

This climbing Euonymus..... {actually belongs to my neighbour, but he pokes thru the fence...and we like it!! the euonymus....not the neighbour!!! hahaha!}...... It produces these tiny berries in the Fall...and they gradually turn redder...I use them in some of my outdoor greenery displays...

And...

Last but not least...

My sweet little Kalanchoes...

From June...

Cut back...

And...

Flowering...

Again...

How precious...

Is...

That?!

Now...get inside!

Ok...you can stay out for a few more days...

Really hot today...

Apparently the Humidex is returning for the weekend....YAY!!!!!!!!!

                                  ****************

Hope you are all having a great day...

My boyfriend and I are both on antibiotics....AGAIN!!!

Hopefully.......feeling better real soon....

Now....I have a big glass of ice water with my name on it...

And my latest crochet project waiting for me....on the couch!!

On the menu tonight...

Rotisserie Chicken and Ceasar Salad....Easy....Peasy...I like it! ha!

The pool cover is going on later...my son and SIL are coming to help...

Will be sad to not look into the lovely blue colour..

But.........there is always next year!

Enjoy the rest of your day.......

                                 Cheers!  :o)

  1. I love that green hydrangea, the color is so fresh! It's perfect. I'm so glad you rescued him. Too funny about your neighbor and the fence...I knew what you meant but your clarification made me laugh. Stay over there, ya weirdo. LOL. Just kidding, I'm sure he's very nice. His grass is pretty too. :)

  2. Sorry to hear that you are still not well, hope that the meds help and that you are feeling better soon! Thinking of you. Glad to know that it is only your neighbours plants coming through the fence, at least one of my neighbours wants to come through the fence and chop down my trees! Anyway, take care of yourself and feel better soon! xx

    1. Thanks Amy...
Why would your neightbour want to shop down your trees???
I thought it was his grapevine growing thru to your yard!

    2. The grape vine is definately ours and in our garden! The trees are also definately ours and in our garden, but the people at the end of of our garden want us to chop them down. They keep sending woodcutter types round to "offer us a quote in case we want any work done". The trees are staying!!!

  3. All that comes from my neighbours fence is invasive ivy. I rip it out by the wheelbarrow-fulls and it still grows.

  4. You had more rain than we did yesterday ... just a few drops on the windshield. A foggy start to the day today but the sunshine broke through and it was hot! This weather can last for the whole month as far as I'm concerned. Grocery day and errand day today at various places around town. Your blooms are still looking great. Hope the antibiotics kick in quick and get rid of the colds you both have.

  7. All our flowers are done here, except for a lone red poppy volunteer that blew in from who knows where. A cheery spot of colour in our front flower bed!
