The Majestic Mock Orange.....

Continuing with my "what didn't bloom this year" theme...

The Majestic Mock Orange...

These were taken in the summer of 2012...

They were beautiful...

I cut tons of them...

Made arrangements in every type of container...

On the sunporch...

On the kitchen porch...

Mock Orange was everywhere...

Except of course for this year...

When there was none...what is going on??? Am I destined to never enjoy Rose Mallow or Mock Orange flowers ever again????

Well....

I certainly hope not....'cause they are amazing...and beautiful...and fragrant..♥

And........the ants like them too!!! {right Birdie!}

                                                      *****

Hope you are all having a great day...

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for my boyfriend ♥

That's a wrap for another year...hahaha!

                                                      *****

Made it to another Fitness class this morning...saw a lot more familiar faces...

Beautiful sunny day here...windy...no snow yet...

Apparently there was a light dusting at the cottage...

Will certainly be out there this Friday...♥

                                                     *****

For all you knitters and crocheters out there...

Do you ever order yard on line???

Have you been satisfied with the quality??? And the prices???

Just wondering....I had checked out the Paton's site...and they have an outlet...

Anybody ever ordered from there??? It is in Listowel Ontario...

                                                        *****

Enjoy the rest of your day...

Think we are going out to eat....YAY!!!♥

                                      Cheers!  :o)

  2. Could the lack of blooms be to lack of bees? They are so endangered these days.

  4. It'll be back, assuming it still looks healthy. Some years they sulk, I know not why. Well they do for me anyway.
    Gorgeous pics!

  5. I'm sorry about your plants. I hope this was just an off year and you have lots of flowers next summer. I have bought yarn online, from two different companies in the UK - Wool Warehouse and Deramores. I liked shopping with both of them.

    1. Thanks for that input Jennifer....I am still a wee bit timid...I guess I like to "feel" the yarn before I buy...

  6. I hope that mock orange blooms next year, it sure is a lovely plant. I spy a twirler/whirlygig i one of the photos. I have made many of those in the past .. love to watch them twirl in the breeze.
I've never ordered any yarn online ... I hate paying shipping, which must be the Scottish in me :)

    1. That was a thrifty buy a few years back...it was actually in red, white and blue...obviously an American whirly...so, I spray painted it!
Not sure about the shipping charges...will look into that, and let you know!
I am Scottish as well! ♥

  7. I wonder if perhaps your mock orange and the mallow just over flowered themselves out last year and they needed a rest? No ideas other than that I'm afraid! You will be super fit with all of these exercise classes - Miss V won't be able to run away from you anytime soon! xx

    1. I am trying to get back into shape, Tammy...
I had been going usually 3 times a week, for about 8 years! And, after my pnuemonia last March, I stopped going...I have been trying to keep in shape running after her! ha!
Up and down the stairs 50 times...and, of course..carrying her as well!
      Wish me luck!

    2. Oh dear, Amy♥
I was so happy that my friend Tammy was back, that I must have been thinking of her!
She has been very sick, and had visited me today....after a very long absence...
      My apologies....ok?? *wink wink*....forgiven?

    3. I was just kidding Linda, no need to apologise. I hope that your friend is doing better now. xx

  8. Your mock orange was really beautiful but I wonder if you took too many end blossoms off it. If that is something that would even cause it not to bloom. I don't know much about them. It was really cold here today - only got up to 2 but the sun was shining. :)

    1. Another plausible explanation...I am stumped!
Cold here as well...but...warm up on the way!

  9. Lovely to see these photos on such a cold windy day as it is today here ! I am not a knitter but would love to learn , I know a few ladies who get their yarn from the Lens Mills stores as they have one of the biggest selections . Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !

  12. My brother in law used to live where there was a mock orange in the back yard. It was beautiful and so very fragrant! I hope yours comes back to life next spring!

  13. Wouldn't it be lovely to be an ant and crawl inside a flower? I think so!
