Ferns...Flags...Frilly Daffodils...

Saturday was a drive to the dear old cottage...
It was a lot warmer along the way...only 11*c out there...still darn chilly...
Plenty of lovely Ferns unfurling...
Plenty of frilly Daffodils...
Had to install new flag, as the winds took the pole and all...
Did not stay..as still punky...
Came home...
Cooked a rack of lamb with Wild rice and my infamous Greek Salad...
Did some moon gazing as well...
See the shot of the beach deck up there...
The new addition was added last year...not stained as yet...
For My Mothers Day gift, my kids arranged with our handyman...
To powerwash...scrape...and restain the deck for me!!!

                             AWESOME!!!!

Hopefully he can get at it shortly!
One more thing off the list....

Hope you all had a great Mothers Day...
We had a full house...lots of action and noise!!
It was a perfect day for the back patio and a walk to the park!

Enjoy the rest of your day...
Supposed to rain...nothing yet....very warm out!
Have a young man fixing our back deck...and a plumber installing a new toilet in the boyfriend's ensuite...
Quite a busy day!!

                              Cheers!  :o)

  5. I just love those curly fern fronds. Are they called fronds? ha. At least I think so. Well, whatever they are, I love them. Almost bought a potted fern today. They are an annual tradition...such a nice addition to the courtyard.

Saw them at Costco today...but the boyfriend isn't a very patient shopping companion!

  7. It seems there's always something to do, repair or replace when you own a house, or a cottage. :) Love the fern photos. They're so green. I can't wait to have some fiddleheads. Soon. Your moon shots are fantastic! Supposed to be sunny tomorrow and a bit warmer. Zero tonight!! brrr.

  12. Glad you had a great day at the cottage - love it that it is so close to the sea. How far is it to the beach and do you ever get any flooding?
Gosh that flate fill looks REALLY appetising! . . . .drool!

    1. Eddie...this is Lake Erie...we have our own beach...that is it in my photos...
Some areas of the Lake...where the land is lower, do get flooding...we mostly get huge waves, that is the reason for the "sea walls"...to keep the beach...
      Yes...our dinner was delicious...love lamb!

    2. Yes, of course I should have remembered it is Lake Eiree and not the sea. If I win the lottery I'll by a cottage next door and then I'll invite myself over for some of that Lamb!! Aren't I cheeky? LOL

    3. Lake Erie!!! hahaha! you make me laugh!
Very cheeky...but how fabulous would that be?

    4. Hope the boyfriend has a great sense of humour or he might hit me, and listen, this is MOST important!! Have you a younger sister who looks just like you?? Please say yes!! Then I might come over even if I do not win the lottery! Get the lamb on!! LOL

Sorry about the mispelling of Lake Erie - I was hopeless at Geography at school!.

    5. I do indeed have a sister....10 years my junior....I will mention your offer to her!

  14. I just love terms as they unfurl. It is raining this morning (Tuesday) but I don't think we got any that was predicted overnight. Kitchen reno is moving right along, up to moving plumbing today which will mean good bye sink for awhile. It will be all worth it in the end.
