Bits & Bobs From The Weekend......

Don't you just love this Hosta in the Blue Mountain Pottery bowl that my Son gave me...

I am really liking Orange in the garden this Summer...bought some Marigolds too!!

Love this hot Pink Geranium...almost looks like an Impatience...I also planted some Sunflowers in the planter....can't wait to see them grow tall!

Brussel Sprouts coming along nicely...as are my other veggies...will update on those soon!
My Ducks have settled in nicely♥️...still waiting for the deck to be done...arrrgh!
I am really liking the way this annual Fountain Grass is looking in this basket...should be spectacular by Fall...
Love the Pink Sky against the Blue Water...

Did you think I had forgotten to buy some Begonias???  These are luscious!
A few more of my baskets that I have put together.....just love these!

Got the kitchen porch floor painted...and made a small bouquet with Chives and Goutweed flowers...I prefer to call them "Snow on the Mountain"...much prettier!

My boyfriend sporting one of his Father's Day t-shirts....love playing with Pic-Monkey, and highlighting one of the colours! There is old me...with the beautiful blue skies behind me...and hamming it up inside the cottage...hahaha!

Hope you all had a great day...

I certainly had an interesting one...for sure...left 1/2 of my purchases at Target...had to drive ALL the way back to get them...thank goodness the cashier put them to the courtesy desk...One of the bags had 5 new bras in it!!! Sorry Eddie...but all of my peeps are girls...they would understand...when you find one that you like...fits...and feels good....you go for it!!!

                                                        tee hee hee!
                                                  ***************

The weather here is kooky...

Dark and cloudy....windy....humid as heck....not very enjoyable to be outside...

Supposed to clear out by Thursday....YAY!!!!....we have Miss V that day for a sleepover!!!

Will be BBQing some pork shish-kabobs with veggies...

Serve over left over Fried Rice...

With a ceasar salad on the side.....sounds good??

                                                         Absolutely!!!!

                               Enjoy your evening.....

                                          Cheers!  :o)

  6. Fabulous photos as always, Linda. You have a lot of wonderful colour in your gardens this year. I love it! Your Blue Mountain Pottery bowl is a beauty. Do you keep the hosta in it all year but bring it in during the winter? I've never tried to grow a hosta in a pot before but I guess it can be done. Rain has started here and for tomorrow but a beautiful weekend is coming up.

    1. I leave it in all year, but put the pot in the shed...to avoid the freeze and thaw, as the pot may crack....
We are raining right now...supposed to clear Thursday

  8. Hi Linda! Here I am popping in... I left a message for you at Betsy's too. What beautiful photos - so colourful. And I love baskets so those arrangements are my favourites. How nice to be on the water - I sometimes just stare at water for hours. I have given my folks a few Blue Mountain pieces over the years.. I think they were a deer and a pitcher. Don't have any myself. Hope you are enjoying your evening - very threatening here... looks like it may pour any second.

  9. I love hostas any way I can get them. Don't know exactly why, just do.
We had some rather nice thunder out there tonight and Hannah played Frisbee in the rain with her friends. I told her no playing in the lightening.
The beach looks lovely. I should take a drive down to the lake too.

  15. Hi Linda!

I was just introduced for the first time to Snow On the Mountain when a sweet little lady at a garage sale sent me home with some last year after we had the loveliest talk about gardening. She also have me some big beanie looking things and said to plant them in the Spring. I did and we'll see:)

Lovely pictures Linda. The Fountain Grass is going to look stunning in that basket! Bill has been trimming my grasses for me so the Sunflowers can grow first. An experiment of sorts:) Your Sprouts are looking good. I am so curious to see how they grow in a container. Mine are already getting unruly in the garden!

Thanks so much for sharing, Linda...

    1. The snow on the mountain will spread like crazy...I just yank it out...or whip it, to control it...
It is great for a big garden...and let it do its thing!
Never trimmed my grasses...I have many Miscanthus, that are already 4feet tall...
I put the sunflowers in a pot, that way I an keep them watered...it can get pretty dry out there...with the wind and all...
Sprouts are doing ok...will update a few weeks...so much fun!
And yes...I agree...the fountain grass will look awesome!!
