It's All About The Beach Deck.....

Painted at last!! This post is all about the Beach Deck...what surrounds it...what is beyond it...what sits on it...why we love it !♥️

Hope you all had a great weekend...

It was hot and steamy....warm and muggy....humid and glorious!!!

By the Lake....these are the perfect conditions...

For a perfect weekend.....

One more coat needed for the beach deck...we love it!!!

What was your weekend like?

Hot and sticky???

Did you hide inside...or get out and embrace Mother Nature??

Today was a busy one...another scorcher....clipped the backyard bushes and vines...

Cleaned up the front yard a bit....sprinkled the hose around...

Then...I hopped into the pool...and cleaned the sides of the liner and the steps...

                                          Fannnnntbulous!!!!

Tomorrow is a holiday....CANADA DAY....supposed to RAIN all day...boo!

Kids may come over for a swim...we will have Miss V for the day...

She is better, but had a few stomach issues with the antibiotic...so...

Her Mom called the Dr and got a new script...hope we can get her in the pool again!!

Think we'll BBQ a few chicken drumsticks and have some garden style rice and salad...

That oughta fit the bill...don't you think???

Hope you all have a great evening....enjoy the heat!!! remember March?? hahaha!

                                      Cheers!  :o)

  6. I can see why you treasure your time at the cottage. The deck looks marvelous and all the vegetation is coming into its "day in the sun" ... ENJOY!! Gearing up for our 4th of July ... TONS of "summer people" descend on Traverse City ... it's the National Cherry Festival and last for 10-12 days! Weather is supposed to be gorgeous ... we had a nice weekend and I grilled chicken breasts and thighs outside last night with BBQ sauce ... reheated leftovers for dinner tonight with some corn on the cob ... watermelon with Feta crumbles for dessert ... does that sound EXACTLY like the perfect summer supper?? Enjoy your holiday and your family ~ hoping you have good weather!! Linda

    1. Indeed it does Linda....love when you can cook enough for the next night...harder than you think to actually pull it off, eh?
We are very pleased with the deck.....VERY pleased!
      Enjoy your 4th of July...have a ball!

  7. Deck looks great Linda - one more coat you say. Must be a very very hard wearing application. Is it a wood preserver perhaps mico-porous. I used to be in the paint industry.
Glad Miss V is OK. Do they live far from the cottage and your regular home?
Love the flower arrangements, feet and colourful flip flops.
Thanks for blessing my blog with your presence earlier.
    Cheers ~ Eddie

    1. Hi Eddie....
The beach deck is in the sun ALL day...we usually have to repaint it, every 3 years...
We had the back addition added last year...where the loungers are...so this was its first coating...
The old part of the deck has been painted 3-4 times already...dark red...hated it...boyfriend picked!
It is a deck paint...supposedly guaranteed for 8 years...NO WAY!!!...remember it gets the sun beating on it all winter as well....just so darn happy it is finally done!
Miss V and her Mom live about 20 minutes from here, and about an hour from the cottage...why?
No problem Eddie....I enjoy visiting your blog....lots of conversations going on!!

Well it;s late here and I have been talking to some of my new poetry pals. Time to turn in . . . night!
