Bits & Bobs From last Weekend....

This past weekend....leading up to Canada Day...was the most perfect weather...

Hot....sunny....lots of action on the Lake....

Hope you enjoy the pics from last weekend...

We certainly enjoyed ourselves...!

The Perennial Sweet Peas are just opening up...

I can't wait to make a small nosegay with them for the sunporch this weekend...

They smell so beautiful....do you grow Sweet Peas??? Do you have Perennials??

At the beginning of the season...

I scored 2 Ferns at Walmart...for $9.99 each...

I just knew they would be perfect for the Kitchen porch...

And for the Sunporch...and gee...look at that...they are perfect!

I take them down when leaving...and pamper them in a shaded spot...

Give them a good drink before I hang them back up for the weekend...

We had a wee bit more work done on the sunporch in June...

It was still wood, so we had the few walls sided in a board & batten design...

I had picked a lovely blue...{what else is new?}...but was unavailable...

So...we went with the Linen colour....same as the cottage...looks pretty good ,eh??

The floor is still under discussion...not worried right now...

We just love our screened sunporch!♥️

The sky and clouds were awesome...

Must have been some pretty heavy rainstorms somewhere...

But not in our wee piece of heaven...

Sunshine from sunrise to sunset...

Gorgeous....

The sunset was reflecting off the clouds...

Onto the lake...

Just beautiful evenings...

Tree basket doing well....Cleomes should be blooming soon...

Deep blue Salvia is a hummingbird magnet down on the beach deck...

Blue Lobelia is flourishing in the planter on my garden shed...

Sharing space with some white Impatience and Nasturtiums...

Hostas starting to send up some Flower Spikes....

I love adding these to my weekend arrangements as well....

So....

These were just a few of the pics I took this weekend...

Oh...the one of me???

Not a selfie this time...

Boyfriend caught me!

Enjoying the late afternoon sun...

On the beach deck ♥️

Hope you all had a great day...

And to my Canadian friends...a great Canada day...

The rain held off for us....but very hot...

We all had fun with Miss V...she just loves her aunts and uncles ♥️

Found a pork tenderloin in the freezer...

Sliced in rounds...marinating in worcheshire and ground black pepper...

Quick grill...serve with mushrooms, potatoes and fresh asparagus...

Enjoy the rest of your day and evening...

                          Cheers!  :o)

  6. Wonderful photos, this is the sort of thing I should be doing for summer, relaxing and sorting out dinner and being with nature, instead of writing at my computer!

    PS you look beautifully tanned

  7. Wow...what a tan. You look great. Glad you had a nice weekend. As of today things have slowed down for me as far as cat-sitting so I am going to take some 'me' time now. A pedicure is on the top of the list. Maybe my toes will look as good as yours. :) Sweet-peas are one of my all-time favorite flowers. I have a nice photo of me and my dog somewhere with the most beautiful sweet-peas in the background. I should dig that up and show it off. Have a great evening, Linda. Loved your photos as always.

  8. Such wonderful shots in your last few posts, Linda. Glorious, vibrant colour. Makes me smile. And the water. Ahhhhhhh. So beautiful and I love the sunset-tinged clouds mirrored in the water. I am addicted to sitting beside water. What a pretty colour on your deck. I am glad you had a good Canada Day – I did too. Don’t we have a great flag? You might enjoy this tongue-in-cheek song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe_jLPF2k3Q I think it’s quite fun!

  9. I don't have perennial sweet peas, but do have the annual ones, right now they seem to be all leaves and stems, hope some lovely blooms appear. Your baskets are looking great. I've just been out and watered all the containers, usually do it in the mornings but they are drying out quickly with this heat.

  13. Sweet peas have always been one of my favorites. Love them! But don't have any. Sometimes I stop alongside the road to pick a few though.
I have purple Lobelia in my garden flanking my cilantro, which is looking mighty nice right about now.
