Bits & Bobs...Birds...Bonfire...Moon!!

Took most of these pics on Thursday evening...

It was a glorious afternoon and evening...

No wind...calm...birds were busy...all was right  with the world!!

Hope you all are having a great weekend...

No rain at the moment...the pool is about to overflow!

We came home yesterday, as there were to be scheduled power outages at the cottage...rain and no power??? No thanks!! hahaha!

'cause that means no water either...so...we took the hideous drive home, thru torrential downpours...fog...hail...geeesh!!

Apparently there was an awful lot of lightning down there....YIKES!!

Hope everything is still intact...although I know it is wet...for sure!!

Enjoy your evening...hope it is dry!!

We are having Miss V for dinner and a sleepover...yippee!!

I am sooooo ready for her sweet face♥️

Cheers!  :o)

  1. LOTS of great shots here, Linda. My favorite is the bird in the bird-bath. That is spectacular. You have had some bad weather and now it is our turn. We are just now starting to get the rain and dark skies. Oh well, I need to stay in for a day and clean. We had an unexpected visitor this morning but no photo unfortunately. A moose dropped by, ran up our drive-way, only feet from the mouse-house and then took off towards the back of the property. It all happened in seconds and shocked the life out of the retired-guy. haha! Country living! Hope you have a great time with Miss V. Give her a hug for me. Deb

  2. You certainly got a lot of great photos at the cottage! Great shot of the turkey vulture ... wow! And the moon shots are fantastic! We've had so much rain here too that I'm starting to worry about leaky basements. So far so good. For now it has stopped, but the grey clouds look very unsettled. I hope you have a fun time with little Miss V!

  5. Oh my Linda....what glorious shots....I was scrolling up and down....just can't soak it all in at once. It's hot and muggy here, so why I decided to make Apricot Bread is beyond me.....except I was craving it so bad....it's cooling now.

    2. I was extremely generous..(patting myself on the back)...Our maintenance man came up stairs and I gave him my last piece....
The smile on his face was worth it. It was a hot day, and he sat and had it with a glass of ice tea. Don finished off the other piece. HaHa. Will have to buy some more apples tomorrow.

  7. Lovely photos . Looks like you had a nice time at the cottage . We had high winds and torrential rains all day yesterday and today it was over cast with rain this afternoon now as the sun sets it has cleared up . Our power was flickering all day yesterday but never went out and if it did we are gas powered for stove and water I wouldn't have it any other way living in the country lol ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !

  14. Beautiful birdie shots - lots of shapes and sizes.
Was at a performance this afternoon and it was misting a bit, but not torrential like yesterday. I like rain. Most of the time.
    Hmmm... I don't see bed sheets! :-)

  16. Hey Linda....cute birdies! I can just hear that one in the bird bath now. "I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain". Lol!! Lord girl, if I were to ever get a moon shot like yours, I would probably call National Geographic to see if they wanted a copy. Ha!

  17. Wonderful photos of all the birds and especially the turkey vulture on the shore. Love the bonfire and moon shots too. I'm glad you had at least one great day and evening at the cottage. The weather has been terrible. Whatever happened to the "above normal temperatures and dry summer" that was predicted??? Oh....I guess the west is getting it. At least it's not cold enough to snow! Haha. I hope this week is a good one for you. xx Pam
