What a crazy weekend that was!!! We had a wonderful time on Thursday at the cottage with daughter Lissa and SIL Jeff...the boys went golfing and Lissa and I had a good old chatfest!!

Friday dawned to very dark, grey, wet skies...after a slow start, boyfriend and I went for a long drive....had lunch...did some thrift shopping...back to the cottage around 4pm...had cleared somewhat, and the sun even came out for a while...

Saturday was miserable...FOG!!! to start the day...we decided as we had Miss V's birthday on Sunday, that we would tidy up and go home...drove thru lots of rain and thunder...had a lovely steak dinner at home...

Sunday was still crummy, with thunderstorms, tornadoes...you name it! It rained on our way out to the get together..

Some cake, family and  a few of my daughters close friends, to celebrate being 3!!

Where does the time go??

Can you imagine Miss V's surprise, when she unwrapped this from Auntie Lissa and Uncle Jeff!!!

She was over the moon to say the least!!

Her very own VW Beetle!!

How Cool!!

The day was hectic...but a success...Miss V loved all her gifts...and a very delicious cake too, I might add!!

Hope you all had a great weekend...

We are off tomorrow to visit some very dear friends...down Peterborough way...they are fortunate enough to have torn down their cottage, and built a permanent home on Clear Lake...in Lakefield...can't wait to see it!! We are spending the night...YIPPEE!!!  a sleepover...with friends!!

Tonight we are having grilled maple Salmon...new potatoes with butter and fresh chives and crunchy fresh yellow beans...

Enjoy your evening...

Cheers!   :o)
