Cloudy Skies....

We arrived at the cottage early Thursday afternoon...

It was VERY overcast...but no wind...which made it lovely!!

Boyfriend and I got right to work...

I got the old paintbrush out...touched everything I could see!!

Grass got cut...

3 evergreens planted...

Martin House down...

A very productive day!!  Indeed!!

We finally settled down...

Down to the beach and beach deck...

Wish this sand was here when Miss V is visiting...

She would love to get her water shoes on...shovel and pail...and dig right in!!

Perhaps it will still be there this upcoming long weekend...as I am sure she will be visiting!!

As late afternoon arrived...it did brighten up!!

Aren't these clouds awesome!!

I do love taking pictures of them...

Here...the Seagulls and Ducks were having a feeding frenzy...

Love how the Seagulls glow in the sunlight...

Friday morning brought some lovely sunshine...

And a few lingering clouds...

Ahhh...

But...

That is for another day...

Sharing this bright beautiful Coleus...
Such a vibrant colour!!

Hope you all had a great weekend...

I sure did!!

Today is dedicated to laundry, changing the sheets, vacuuming, you know the routine...dusting...polishing...you name it!! All the boring house tasks...

Sticky and hot out there...the humidity is back!!
Gonna be a hot week!

Any plans for the Labour Day weekend??

Miss V last week before her bike ride!!

Happy little girl♥️

Enjoy your day...
Hot where you are??

Cheers!  :o)

  1. Love that last happy shot! It's hot 'n muggy here too, and unfortunately we just took down our above-ground pool end of last week. Oh well. You have a lovely place there alongside the lake, and your dock looks like a wonderful place to relax in the evenings. I've been noticing these amazing clouds for the past couple of weeks too. We've had such dark brooding clouds, but no rain. Enjoy your week, and have a great long weekend!

  2. The clouds look rather ominous. I'm sure you were waiting for rain all weekend. As sad as it is to see summer ending it is nice to get the work done in preparation for a new season. I'm really looking forward to the fall. I see that our sumacs are turning red already. Sure sign that fall is near. So I guess the Martins have headed south, have they? I took down our hummingbird feeders this weekend as I have not seen one yet this summer. I did put up a nice, new bird-feeder for the months ahead and the chickadees, finches, doves and blue-jays are really enjoying it. Does Miss V start school this year? Deb

  7. The ever changing beach, those were some clouds. Hot and humid here today, not doing much outside, just some inside jobs. We are having a family bbq next weekend, SIL trying a roast of beef on the bbq. He loves to try different things, last year he did a turkey.

  8. Are there any Coleus that come back year to year? I was enjoying the overcast sky too - that brick wall needs repairing before winter comes. Then the sun was back, and I went in. Oh well - tomorrow. Love the pink flip/flops and matching toes!

  16. You accomplish so much at your cottage but that's sort of the fun, no? Your sky shots are gorgeous and wow, how the weather changes with a blink of the eye. How far away are you there from your home?

Getting hotter here and seems we haven't escaped the humidity in weeks. Even though it may be 70 degrees, I run the air a bit to get rid of that suffocating feel. But yes, still-.I'm a big lover of summer! :)
