What I was Up To Last Week...Here At Home!

You may remember I told you, that I had visited Michael's last week...well...here is what I bought!

Wool...books,photo books,labels,card stock,wrapping paper,colouring books,small bird,fall basket,witches hat plant pick,lots of wee stocking stuffers...very pleased with myself!

I purchased a cute little Pepper plant, to put in the basket...with the Witches hat...on the hall table!

The beginnings of fall decor...already have some Mums out the front!

Isn't that Witches hat adorable???

When my friend Hester came for lunch last week...

She brought me this lovely bouquet of flowers!

Thanks Hester!

I always keep a pot of fresh Basil in my kitchen...in my opinion...it is the best herb going!!
I use it almost everyday!

My African Violet friends are doing splendidly!

They thoroughly enjoyed their Summer!!

Miss V and I had so much fun in the pool!! She had her floatie Frozen suit on...and she actually let go of me...after much coaxing!...and was thrilled that she didn't sink!! She will be visiting tomorrow, so the heater is on !

Boston Ivy just starting to turn colour...NO!!! Wait a while!!

The Miscanthus has gotten a few Plumes...

Still waiting for my Porcupine grass to sprout a few...

I had cut back the Balloon Flower in August...

Here she is...

Bloomin' beautiful!!

"You know who" is back!!

Put a few peanuts in this feeder, and I think he ate so much, he was ready for a nap!!

So....

Those are highlites from last week...here at home...
Figured you were getting kinda tired of the cottage pics all the time!!

Hope you are having a great day...

Beautiful and sunny here...actually HOT! Humidity is back!!

Gonna BBQ some Cajun Catfish...and serve it up with some Wild Rice, and sauteed peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes...I think a few sprigs of Basil will make it into that as well...

Enjoy the rest of your day...

What is new with you???

                          Cheers!  :o)

  5. I envy you HOT! It is so cold here. We sat out to lunch today when the sun came out briefly but it didn't last long. Want to make the most of what's left before the winter cold arrives. Love your miscanthus.

  7. Interesting week you had and loved all the photos, My Mum used to grow African Violets in a large bottle.with a cork top on it. It had it;s own atmosphere . . . . but it required new air sometimes for Carbon Dioxide and as you undoubtedly remember from school plants need CO2 and make Oxygen through Photo Synthesis . . .
I haven't swum for a while and your pool looks very inviting. Good for Little Miss V , , , she will be swimming soon now that she has gained confidence. I like the b/f sitting back and reading a good book. I hope you gave hime a nice cool beer . . . lol

"RED" nice to see you again. Are you back to drive poor Linda crazy?" lol Enjoy the summer weather for a few more days. Hugs, Deb

  19. I see fall like happenings in your pictures . . .
    Love the witches hat . . .
The browns and dreary colors are appearing "in and out" around here . . .
October 1 will bring out the bright orange and festive and fun . . .
And today . . . out to the apple orchard . . . that will bring some color into my surroundings . . .
Love seeing and hearing about your Miss V . . .
    I must be like your "boyfriend" . . . I always have a book in my hands. . .
