From Sun, Surf & Sand...to...❄️❄️SNOW❄️❄️

 Hi everyone....

Arrived home safe and sound Sunday evening...

The traffic in spots was hideous, but thanks to Daylight Savings Time, we were able to push through and get home in the light!!

As we were leaving the beach...very early Saturday morning...the above is what greeted us as we opened the door!! The Moon was just setting over the Gulf of Mexico...it was such a sweet surprise!! It went down, just like the Sun...sizzling into the horizon. Beautiful!!

Monday morning...I was at the grocery store...stocking up on all things fresh!!

I thought these Apples and Bananas looked particularly  Spring-like, in this gorgeous Yellow bowl my daughter gifted me for my birthday!! Pretty,eh??

Unfortunately we returned to Ontario, just in time for a monster Snowstorm!!

There had been NO snow the whole time we were away...and they had Springlike temps into the high teens{celsius}...

Geesh...

Thanks Mother Nature!!

It has been snowing non-stop...and big gusts of wind...

Supposed to subside tomorrow...let's hope so!!

There was one bright spot yesterday!!!

Our Miss V came for a visit!!!

She was quite excited to see us...and she could not wait to get outside with her Papa and do some shovelling!!!

She was covered in snow!! From head to toe!!

I took these thru the LR window...no shovelling for me! hahaha!!

I had a cup of tea with her Mom...and got caught up on things!!

Check out her Snowboots!!! They look like Puppies...She said she got them at Marshalls!!! I laughed so hard....😂

It was a lovely re-union...

She will be back on Thursday, as it is March break here...and a sleepover!!

I managed to get this wee "Cat Mat" made for one of her cats...Duke...as apparently he LOVES the blanket I made for my daughter for her birthday!!

Think I will whip up a few more, for my other kids cats...perhaps a few tassels will look fancy! hahaha!

Got all the laundry done...we vacuumed...I chatted up my plants...a very busy day indeed...

Chicken soup made and eaten for lunch...so comforting...

I am quite happy to be home...

As we all know..."there is no place like home" 💛💙💜💚❤️

Hope you are all well...and coping with this snow, if you are getting it!!!

           Have a wonderful evening..and a great week...

                    Cheers!    :o)

  1. I was given the option and decided not to venture out into the craziness today. My nursing home friends will have to sit this one out without me today.
The chickens have been cooped up for days, because they insist on visiting the neighbors, but I was tempted to let them out today. Maybe I'll still allow them to stretch their legs under the shed roof of the barn for a little while this afternoon. With Daylight Saving in place they've still got 2-3 hours of light.
Welcome home. My sister returned Sunday night as well.

Welcome back and glad you returned safely after a glorious holiday.
I guess Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz was correct when she tapped her heels and said, "There's no place like home!"
Bet you were pleased to see little Miss V again and isn't she so useful shovelling the snow.
Bet the weather takes a bit of getting used to after your warm holiday . . . :)

  9. Welcome home! You're so happy and cheery to be home that you're not even complaining about this big snowfall! I was grateful that my NYC family didn't get as much as the predictions. Cute cat mat, even cuter little Miss V. Wanted to let you know that there's a different fitness schedule next week, you know how they clean and polish our studio room. Enjoy the sleepover! :)

  12. Not the most pleasant greeting to your return from Florida! Yikes. It is always good to be home though in one's own surroundings and, of course, getting to see Miss V after missing her all those weeks. She looks so cute in her red and black checked jacket and her puppy boots. Do you think this was winter's last blast? Maybe for you, not sure about here. Oh well it will be spring weather very soon and winter's cold and snow will be a distant memory. Haha.

  15. It is lovely to be home again isn't it!! Hope that the snow doesn't last too long, so unfair of it to wait until you got home to come when it had had all that time to snow!

  16. Ha ha! Snow!! We got a dusting ;) A dusting!! I didn't feel much like shoveling anyway, but some snow would have helped entertain the kids this week. Miss V is the most stylish kid ... love the buffalo checked coat and toque. Glad to hear you're home safe and sound. If you hold a snowball up to your ear do you hear the sea?!
