August Floating By......

Hello Everyone...

Mid August already...but I'm back!!!

It has been another stinkin' hot month here in Ontario...

Seems that this will be the way it is for a few years...

Grin and bear it, I say...but it has not been the best gardening Summer, for sure!!!

On another note...my trusty Canon camera, has seen better days...:o(

The last few weeks, the pictures have been out of focus, and very dark...

I took to using my older camera...the one Miss V uses when she chooses!

I was not very happy with the last few photos, especially when both my granddaughters were visiting at the cottage...

My son tried to change a few settings...but I think the old girl just had enough...

So I got myself a new camera!!!!!!!!

yes indeedy!!! Canon Powershot SX420SI....almost the same as my old one...with a few less bells and whistles...but my trusty auto-zoom is included!!!

So.....hopefully my next post will have clearer crisper brighter photos...

                                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you are all well...
    Enjoying the heat????
      We are off to the cottage Friday am...raining here today and down there...and i think rain tomorrow too....
          My sweet friend Devon...who moved to BC a few years ago, is in town for a wedding, and her and her lovely hubby are coming to the cottage on Saturday for a sleepover!!!! So excited to see her....I have missed her dearly...
I got a cat mat made for her cats...and 2 of my dishcloths ready for her...
             Have a great weekend my friends...
                    See you soon...
                          Cheers!  :o)
                               linda ♥️
  1. Norah’s fuzzy head is adorable. And how can it be that Viviam’s feet are almost as big as yours?
  8. Those are wonderful pictures, Linda. I really need a camera, too. I am reduced to using my iPhone which is good but I would really like a nice camera one of these days.
    It looks like you are having a great, althoughbeit hot, summer. Same here. The humidity is horrible!!!! Hope you have a good upcoming weekend. xo Diana
  9. Photography really is challenging! Your colors are very beautiful. I always seem to hold the camera a little tilted -- as you did in some of your shots of the lake with the horizon showing. I'm always straightening things out in post-processing.
  14. I'm so glad to have caught up with you, my friend I love the darling pictures of Vivian and Nora...they look so lovingly at each other. Nice pic of your son and Nora, too. He looks so much like your husband.
    Your cottage pictures are beautiful...the clouds and rainbows and views of that huge lake! I think you and I are much more aware of the weather and seasons as it plays a huge role in where we are...and what we are doing.
    I'm home in the city for a while, we are having outdoor work done at the lake, and then some changes to the front porch and balcony. I need to sit on my behind down and write a post! So sorry for my absence. You know i love ya and I don't miss IG posts...so convenient while lying in bed with insomnia!!! ;-D
