A Birds Eye View...and...A New Village!!

Friday found us on the roof!!!

While my boyfriend cleaned the keys from the back slope of the roof, I went out...rather cautiously...to the small balcony off the guest bedroom...

I swept the keys from the floor and the eaves...

Good thing I took my camera with me...

It certainly gives a "Birds eye view" of our property!!

Can you see all those darn keys everywhere???

And I mean...

EVERYWHERE!!
 

The sun came out, later in the day...

And I had some fun on the beach!!

If You Build It.....They Will Come!

Last weekend at the cottage...

I decided to rebuild my tiny Inukshuk Village...

It had been ravaged during a hideous storm a few weeks back...

It is kind of relaxing...

Stacking the stones...

Looking for just the right ones...

Stand back...

Admire the Village! 

         So....November came in like a lion for sure!!

            Steady rain all Halloween night...no kids at my door!!

              A few flurries during the day today...

           Dark...sombre...cold...blustery...

          Hope you are all having a great day...

                  No cottage this weekend   :o(

       Oh well...

       I am sure the grilled lamb chops,  

            That I have marinating in grainy spicy mustard...
                 Along with some Worchesthire sauce...      
                     Accompanied with some wild rice and greek salad...YUM!

I think they resemble Lilies....

 Gonna put dinner in the oven...

      Golden crispy Pork Chops with sliced onions...

           Roasted Yams and Zuchinni...

            I think I like comfort meals the best...

             Roasting....slow-cooking....you know the type of food...

               And I find it easier than BBQ'ing...less work...more delicious...just sayin'

I built a Lake Erie Inukshuk on the beach...

Had a very busy weekend...

this post will be a few pics taken over the last week or so...

still very hot and humid here...

kind of overcast today...

big rain coming in for tomorrow...

another small crop of tomatoes...this bunch I added to diced potatoes,onions,peppers and mushrooms...in olive oil in the oven...delish!

lovely and calm last weekend...actually had a sandy beach...

shed at the end of the day...with my gorgeous Hydrangea bush...

      This was the moon on Friday night at the cottage...

              We were lucky enough to enjoy a firepit after dinner...

                      And get absorbed by the MOON.....

                                Isn't that just GLORIOUS??

           I had a busy one...for sure...

             Washed the slipcovers for the couch...went shopping with my boyfriend...

              Got some lovely fresh Cod for dinner....garden fresh  yellow beans...

                 Cod is soaking in...you guessed it...buttermilk!!

                   We also scored some new seat cushions for our Muskoka chairs at the cottage...

                        6 brand spankin' new ones for next year...waterproof fabric!!

                           Very excited about that!!

                              Also got the boyfriend a new leather recliner for the family room...

                                Very luxurious...creamy leather...nice!!
