My Gardens at home, are progressing nicely...
I always depend on my hearty Perennials to provide most of the colour...
I only have a few potted Annuals this Summer, as I find it very difficult to keep everybody happy and healthy, with 2 properties to look after!!
I am absolutely loving the Strawberry Plant that my daughter Lissa gave me for Mothers Day!!! The Flowers are gorgeous, and the berries themselves are so delicious!!! I have potted up a few runners, so we will see how they progress.
My front garden is covered in these wee Anemones...such a beautiful sight!!
My Peonies are sadly finished for another year...
Wonder if there is a variety that blooms later in the season???
Oh well....they were gorgeous!!!! And as I have told you before...they were all my Moms plants...so that makes them extra special 💓💓💓
Oh...and I got a new pair of flipflops!!! hahaha!! Walmart....sparkly!!
Now...for a cottage tour.......
We had a lovely stretch of days, with lots of sunshine, and a calm Lake!!
The Bridal Wreath Spirea was in all its glory.. I used it for my porch arrangement that week...
My daughter and SIL visited on Saturday...a few sprinkles, so we spent a bit of time on the screened sunporch...man that comes in handy so often!!
We later went down to the beach deck, but it was cloudy the whole time...
Spectacular lake views though!!
I planted Peas this year...the flowers are just like Sweet Peas, only white!!
Perhaps there will be more progress when I get back down there...
Supposed to be raining down there today...and very very windy!!!! What else is new???
We'll get back down Thursday...and hope for great weather...

the Perennial Bamboo in my back yard here at home, put on a magnificent display last week....just before we had the wee bit of white stuff one night!
It was gone the next day...but we did have quite a few really cold days there...
We were at the cottage last Friday...a very nipply -4c...with a very significant windchill I must say!!!
No sleepovers for a few weeks...looks like it may be time to shut the water off...and let the old girl begin her Winter nap...:o(
This incredible white wicker chair was a curbside find last week here at home!!!
That makes 2 in the last 2 years...I found a green skirted one previously...

The Milkweed is doing it's thing quite nicely too...
We had a beautiful time a few weeks ago...warm temps...deck lounging...and I guess our last sleepover for 2017...
I consoled myself with a moist delicious Apple Pie Loaf...

Hi everyone....
Arrived home safe and sound Sunday evening...
The traffic in spots was hideous, but thanks to Daylight Savings Time, we were able to push through and get home in the light!!
As we were leaving the beach...very early Saturday morning...the above is what greeted us as we opened the door!! The Moon was just setting over the Gulf of Mexico...it was such a sweet surprise!! It went down, just like the Sun...sizzling into the horizon. Beautiful!!
Monday morning...I was at the grocery store...stocking up on all things fresh!!
I thought these Apples and Bananas looked particularly Spring-like, in this gorgeous Yellow bowl my daughter gifted me for my birthday!! Pretty,eh??
Unfortunately we returned to Ontario, just in time for a monster Snowstorm!!
There had been NO snow the whole time we were away...and they had Springlike temps into the high teens{celsius}...

It has been snowing non-stop...and big gusts of wind...
Supposed to subside tomorrow...let's hope so!!
There was one bright spot yesterday!!!
Our Miss V came for a visit!!!
She was quite excited to see us...and she could not wait to get outside with her Papa and do some shovelling!!!
She was covered in snow!! From head to toe!!
I took these thru the LR window...no shovelling for me! hahaha!!
I had a cup of tea with her Mom...and got caught up on things!!
Check out her Snowboots!!! They look like Puppies...She said she got them at Marshalls!!! I laughed so hard....😂
It was a lovely re-union...
She will be back on Thursday, as it is March break here...and a sleepover!!
I managed to get this wee "Cat Mat" made for one of her cats...Duke...as apparently he LOVES the blanket I made for my daughter for her birthday!!
Think I will whip up a few more, for my other kids cats...perhaps a few tassels will look fancy! hahaha!
Got all the laundry done...we vacuumed...I chatted up my plants...a very busy day indeed...
Chicken soup made and eaten for lunch...so comforting...
I am quite happy to be home...
As we all know..."there is no place like home" 💛💙💜💚❤️

I think they are magnificent...
And I think that I prefer them to the earlier blooming Mauve ones...

Today was our day with Miss V...as it has been for every Wednesday for a very long time...come September, that will change. She will be in JK, and not near us, like her daycare is. We have been coming to terms with this all Summer...knowing that all good things come to an end. We will have her for PD days...a few holiday days...and if she is sick...But...it breaks my heart to let her go. She is growing up so fast...I want to stop the clock for a while. I shouldn't complain...some people rarely get to see their grands...or they live clear across the country...I am very grateful for all the time we have been able to spend with her...but I SURE will miss her after the next 2 weeks.Onward and upward, eh???
I took a short movie of her today...she is actually swimming!! I know...with her Elsa vest on...but SWIMMING!!! So proud of the progress she has made this summer...We will definitely get her out for a few more swims...

This was our dinner last night....I made fish tacos for the FIRST time...and I must say...they were delicious!!
I used Cod filets...BBQ'D with Cajun seasoning...
Coleslaw...chopped red onion...avacado...sliced yellow peppers...chipotle...
I will def make these again...delightful and easy!!
Tonight will be spaghetti and meatballs...with some crusty bread...too darn tired to make salad!!!
Miss V is spending the night...lots of stories to be read♥️ and of course...a nice warm bath...love these times!
