We visited the cottage earlier in the week...

Lovely and calm...

If not a bit cloudy...

It was so beautiful...

Enjoyed the birds... 

The blooms...

The veggies...

And I even got another driftwood twirly thingy made...( I am becoming addicted to these)

Another soggy day here...heading back to the cottage in the am...

Bits & Bobs........

 I spotted this "baby" Robin and one of his parents. I love how they are so darn big!!! With their black fluffy heads!! He/She got a lesson in bathing...so cute to watch!
He certainly got the hang of it quite quickly!
Guess it is now time for Him/Her to be on their own!

Miss V's Sunflowers have a big huge bloom!
Found this yesterday, after returning from the cottage... 
She will be thrilled!! 

I got my toes painted last week, and thought this made a nice photo!  Hahaha! 

My Daisies are almost done...so sad that they are so short-lived...

The pink Phlox will go to first frost... 












 We see this cool polka dotted Horse every week on our drive to the cottage...

Isn't he/she a beauty??
 

 This Conch on one of the very old Maples appeared about 10 days ago...I know it is a bad sign...but I love the way they change shape and develop...












Can you believe this is my first harvest of green beans at the cottage!!!! I was so excited to pick these...had them on Saturday night with dinner...delish!! I am growing them in a pot...they are doing fantastic! Lots more developing...ahhhhh Nature!!

 I have two containers of Tomatoes...they are LOADED with fruit...hopefully something ripens soon!! I did a lot of re-inforcing this past weekend..added a few wooden stakes to the pots, 
Tied them up with strips of cloth...to keep the plants more stable...the wind was really having a go at them!!

Did I mention the wind this past weekend?????
UN  BE  LIEVABLE 
I guess it was gusting to 100 km/hr at some points...plenty of storm clouds again...but...no rain for the dear cottage!!


The flower lady {aka Erika}has been especially kind to me this summer...I keep forgetting to show you!! She brought me these Lilies on Wednesday...I took 1/2 of them to the cottage.... and still had enough to build 2 bouquets here at home...just beautiful!!

Speaking of home...my Balloon flowers are bursting open...love the Mauvey Bluey shade...

 I always find time to put my feet up...
Listen to the birds...the waves...the flag flapping!! hahaha!
Man oh man...it was windy!!
My hair was a furball all weekend.....:o/

Still very hot here...supposed to reach the 40*c mark with the humidity...

Geesh...ok...ok....not complaining! BUT.....we still need rain!!

I bamboozled the boyfriend into taking me out for PIZZA tonight!

A Few Pretties From The Weekend........

I never tire of this beautiful Peach Begonia...it just keeps getting better each week...♥️

Boyfriend had first swim of the year!! The water has finally warmed up...but is sooo deep this year!! The waves were like the ocean this past weekend...so darn windy!! And the clouds!!! well...I will show you those another day!!
Always love the sunporch, when the afternoon sun streams in...

All ready for us to enjoy our dinner out there!!
 

My tomatoe plants are bursting!!! Picked a few, and they were sweet and delicious...

The yellow flower below, is my butternut squash...hope I get a few!!

Picked a Zuchinni, Cucumber and the tomatoes to eat...

Nothing like it!!

This wee guy kept me company while I was doing the dishes....
I think he/she was a baby...had trouble balancing on the tree!
so cute...glad they are back...

Just started raining here...wee bit of thunder...

I have chicken and rice soup on the stove...dinner!!

Boyfriend will also get a Lobster sandwich...finally defrosted the can...

He is very excited!! hahaha!

Fresh From The Garden.....To The Plate.....

While at the Cottage on Friday...

I picked all of my wee sweet tomatoes...

They were ripe and juicy...

No reason to leave them...

For Mr. Raccoon!!!

So....

They were picked...

Washed...

And packed to make the trip home with my boyfriend and I...

To be served with delight!

In...

One...

Of...

My...

Infamous...

Greek/Avacado Salads...to accompany our First Friday night meal at home...in a very long time.....Probably many months....perhaps since April!!

 

Now......

Doesn't that look delicious!?

Well....

It was!!!

It was pretty chilly on Friday...

But...luckily a north wind!

On the menu tonight...

SLow-cooker Whole chicken...{as seen on Kris's blog...over at Simplify...in my sidebar}....


Rubbed with Olive Oil and assorted spices....

Roast potatoes, corn..and Swiss Chalet Sauce...

Chicken came out very moist and tender....

Just put Miss v to bed...her Mom moved today, so we are keeping her for the day and overnite...

Fingers crossed she sleeps all night!!!

A Cute Little Addition To The Garden....

Remember that wee $2 wheel-barrow I picked up at a Garage Sale across the street at the cottage???

Well...

I picked up 3 Kalanchoes....and a Fresh basil plant...and how beautiful does she look???!!!

I think the earwigs have been nibbling at my 2 other Basil plants...

All that was left was a twig!

And....I just can't be without Basil!

 Two of the Kalanchoes are Doubles...So pretty....Love these...

This basket, is the last of the cucumbers...

I have kept these cantaloupe, hoping they will ripen...

But...

I doubt it..:o(

There are still a few attached to the vine...

So...

We'll see what happens!

We ate all the sweet little yellow and orange tomatoes...

Right off the plant!

I think next year....that will be the only kind I grow!!!

They are so delicious!


 
 Perhaps a few more watermelons next week...

I think that is where this Flower is attached!!!

I could grow these veggies...just for the sweet small flowers!!

Started out cooler today...but turned kinda muggy by the end!

Had a fun day with Sweet Cheeks...boy....

She is a busy little bee!! hahaha!


On the menu tonight...

       Roast Beef with all the fixins'!!!

        Roast Yams,Potatoes, and carrots...and lovely gravy...

          Of course....horseradish for my boyfriend!

              Already have a pot of beef soup on...and spaghetti sauce!

I have hardly had a minute to visit you guys...

I am going to do that this evening.......FOR SURE!!!

My Hiatal Hernia is bad today...I hate this!!!
