Front to Back Garden Tour....

Starting in the front garden...a few Ferns have come up...
My front garden faces East, so does not get a lot of sunshine...
Only 'til about mid-day...
It is a wonder anything grows at all...
the Solomon Seal are tall and plentiful...
These are the true genus, and are truly spectacular when in bloom...

My front door Easter planter is still in full swing...
The cooler temps have kept the tulips and daffodils from blooming too quickly...
Will soon be time to transplant into the garden for next year...

Climbing Hydrangea is gorgeous...
Perhaps a few blooms this year...
Going into its 4th year...no blooms as yet...
Below that...
My Muscari is not open as yet...but hopeful!

Now...to the backyard....much more going on out back here...
These Jolly-jump-ups are so cute...kinda spotted almost...
Purple and white...next to Jenny...creepin' along!

My few trilliums took a beating in the last rainfall...
Looking a wee bit dirty...
But...
Still gorgeous!

The Bamboo is coming out like gangbusters...
Will probably dig up a few, where not wanted...
They can become quite invasive...
But...
Given the right spot...
They are perfect!

Right below is the Rose Campion...
A beautiful flowering plant, with luscious velvety silver leaves...
I really like this plant ♥️

Lungwort with pink and blue flowers...
So shortlived...
But...
SO pretty and delicate...

More of my favorite wee jolly-jump-ups...
And..so fragrant!

Three Peony bushes up...
This one complete with ants!
I have a White...Deep Pink and a Pale Pink...
All from my Mom's garden...
I think if I ever move...
They will have to come with me...or...move to my daughter's garden ♥️

Another of my amazing Kalanchoes...
This one from Thanksgiving...flowering again...
Now she is outside...where she will flourish...
Will chronicle her over the summer months...

Hope you are all having a great day...
Pouring rain here...could be worse...
Tornadoes near where Betsy lives...she is AOK!!!
Lots of flooding everywhere...
Hope it lets up for our long weekend...
Lots to do at the cottage...

                                         ~~~~~~~~~~~
We have Miss V for dinner and a sleepover!!!
Autumn Color In My Garden... At Home......
 I got a chance this afternoon...
To take a quick look....
Around my garden..
It was a brisk, sunny day....
I put on my shoes and a big sweater...
Grabbed my trusty camera...
And headed out...
It felt really nice...
Cold...
Crisp...
Refreshing...
Miss V had left early afternoon...
And..I was..
Kinda...
Feeling sorry for myself...and missing her...♥
I think I found some extraordinary color...
From the Crimson reds....
To the Pale Yellows...
And the Limey Greens...
The Solomon Seal is putting on an extremely beautiful show right now...
Such a lovely Perennial.....in every season...
And...of course...who can forget the Hosta...a real favorite...
These Mums have been in my garden for over 25 years...I almost forgot about them, as they are near the sidewalk...
For passers-by's pleasure....:o)   is that a word???
The Oak tree...which a kindly squirrel planted for me...
There are no others nearby...so he brought it specially for me...♥
The Boston Ivy is turning a hot red...
This is one side of my house...
The Ivy wraps all the way down, and cross the back of the house...
I featured it in my header, that you have all graciously commented on...
The back is nearly bare...
The windy days have taken care of that!!!
The backyard Cedars, are unusually yellow this Fall...
Dropping a lot of their leaves...
Making quite a mess!!
 The Boston Ivy leaves on the back deck...along with their berries....
I know this Miscanthus Plume is not Yellow or Red...
But...
Gosh.....
Isn't it awesome?
We have this spectacular view out our kitchen window....
I took lots more...
But...
I need to start limiting the number of pictures I post...
Takes too long to organize them...
Into some semblance...
Hope you enjoyed this short tour...
Have you all got plenty of color still left in your yards???
Or.....has Mother Nature finished her work for now....
                                            ********
Hope you are all having a great day...
Thanks for all your well wishes for Miss V, my daughter...and boyfriend...
They are greatly appreciated...♥
                                            *********
Heading our for Greek tonight...
But.......I have 2 cakes cooling on the counter...
This time....Vanilla Cinnamon Banana Blueberry loaf..
                      with..
                 Brown sugar, walnut cinnamon topping...
The house smells AWESOME!!
Considering....we are being "SKUNKED" every other night here!!!
Smells like he is right in the room with us....AWFUL!!!
Hope he/she moves to a new location...PEEEE EWWW!!!
                                       ********
Enjoy your evening...
                                   Cheers!  :o)
