A Love Story....

 The other evening...

While we were BBQ'ing...

I grabbed my camera...

To do a walk around...

When I looked into one of our feeders...

Was I surprised to see this...

They had been on my bathroom window sill...

And my boyfriends as well...

Obviously they decided to set up house...

In the bird feeder!!!

 A while later...

Mrs. flew in...

While...

Mr....

Was laying in the garden...

Mrs. looked down at Mr...

He said "I'm right here"...

Mrs. said...

"Go and get something to eat...

Then...

Come back here...

And....

Sit up here...

So...

I can get something to eat!"

Mr. replied...

"No problem doll-face!!"

While they were under the feeders eating...

2 Sparrows flew in...

Had a look around...

Moved on...

"Are you looking at my Mrs?"

As the sun was setting...

Mr joined Mrs....

Hopefully the eggs will hatch and all will live happily ever after...

Hope you all enjoyed the Love Story....:o)

Birds.....Cottage.....Wednesday

When we visited the Cottage on Wednesday...

The Birds were quite happy to see us!!!

From the Shiny Grackle...

To the darling Purple Finches...

To the Cardinals...

To Robin Red Breast...

Got 2 of the Bird Baths out...

Hopefully the rain filled them up!!!

That was a glorious warm day at the cottage...

Not so good out there yesterday...

My neighbour sent me some photos of a very large branch of ours that came down yesterday...

Luckily it did not hit the cottage...

It  actually landed on their lawn!!!

We will go out on Monday...and see what's up...

I am sure Gus will have it all cleaned up by then...:o)

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday...

Having guests for dinner this evening...

Don't want to give the menu away...just yet!!!

The husband...has Celiac...so I am always careful about what I serve...

Enjoy the rest of your day....

Very cold...snowy...and windy here....:o(

                       Cheers!  :o)

Another Day At The Feeder...

There was a nice gentle snow on Sunday...

So...

I grabbed my new camera...

Hoping for a photo-op...

And...

I was not disappointed...

Very shortly, this handsome fella flew in...

He took his time...

Chose just the perfect sunflower seed....

And posed quite nicely for me...

For I was....

Hidden in the kitchen...

Mr. Chickadee was on the feeder next to him....

And when the handsome Red guy left....

A pretty Purple Finch flew in...

     And then....

     They were gone...

Hope you all have a great day....

Taking a drive to the cottage, as it is going to be sunny...

THey have started work on our sunporch, and it is bad news...:o(

There is more work than anticipated....the ceiling has to come down..

We knew the floor had to come up...but this was not expected...

That's what happens to an over 80 year old cottage...

We love it so much...it is worth the extra effort..

To keep her standing!!!  WIsh me luck...I will look for the rock!!!

On the menu tonight...Roasted Pea Meal bacon with crispy Roasted taters

               Fresh Yellow and Green Beans...

Lunch will probably be on the road...hopefully a Club Sandwich..yummo..

Have a box for the Thrift Shop...but I will proabably bring something
               home as well!!!!

           Always looking for new treasures!!!!

              ENjoy your day...
