From My Garden....

I made a few arrangements from what was in bloom...

In my cottage garden...

Mauve Campanula coupled with Hosta Leaves and Hosta Blooms, go very nicely together...

Sweet Peas...

On the other hand...

Need no companions...

Beautiful all on their own ♥️

The view to the screened sunporch...

Beautiful!!

Hope you all had a great day!

Did you get caught in any of those thunderstorms?

I got soaked!! Still raining now...and VERY humid...

Supposed to clear out over night...hope so!!

Have a great evening...

                 Cheers! :o)

Saturday Flowers...Clouds....Guests...Rainbow♥️

As I may have mentioned...

We had guests for a sleepover at the cottage on Saturday...

I got busy early, and put together a few arrangements with my handsome Hydrangeas...

Added a few Hosta flowers as well...as they were in abundance!

I love the steel container my boyfriend found at the thrift shop...

Perfect with a vase inside...

I will get a lot of use out of that...

FOR SURE!!!

This was my very first crop of tomatoes...

They're a mix of orange, yellow and red...very sweet and delicious!

Devon suggested adding them to the Greek Salad...

They were perfect!!

There were a lot of clouds that day...

Luckily enough...

Just a sprinkle of rain...

We all stayed on the deck...under one of the big cantilever umberellas...til the clouds passed!!

Before they arrived...

I was fussing about inside...

Took a few pics of myself...

HA HA HA!!!

Didn't even have to fuzzy this one up, Tammy!!!!

It was already fuzzy!!

Just the way I like it!

We spent the afternoon on the beach deck...

Chatting...laughing...being silly!!

And...of course...a few cocktails and snacks!!

Devon would not let me take a picture of her face...

I just took a pic of Mark's hairy chin!!!

Mark was kind enough to split some logs for us...we were gonna have a fire...if it got too chilly...but...we didn't need to!

We did eat inside though...as it was really windy...

Enjoyed BBQ chicken thighs...baked taters...corn on the cob...and greek salad...

                                        DELISH!!!

We were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow...late afternoon...

Awesome!!

After dinner we had a few dances...

Listened to fabulous music...

more cocktails!!

retired to the sunporch...

And we all slept like logs...

THE END!!

Hope you are all having a great day...cooler and windy here...

Kind of a slow day for me...and I like it!!

                     enjoy your evening....

                                   Cheers!  :o)

Weekend Arrangements....

My weekly garden flower arrangement, is getting a wee bit harder to find!

Luckily my Hydrangeas are still going strong...

And the wild Susans are still plentiful...

I had forgotten that I had some Baby's Breath...

Otherwise known as Gypsophlia...

SO...I added some..

But...

I think she had seen better days..

I made several smaller ones as well...

Just to use the Hydrangeas!!!

But...

There are TONS left!!

For another weekend...

How can you possibly go wrong with Hydrangeas...

I love the way they turn a lime green in the late summer...

Very pretty!!

Last Friday, was a perfect  day on the lake...

Calm...

No wind...

Awesome!!

Had a lovely refreshing swim, as it was pretty hot, actually!!!

Met another neighbour!

But....no cucumbers to share this week...

I left 2 on the vine...{which is shrivelling up}...as there was no rain there last week..

AT ALL!!!

The tomatoes were plentiful though...

And delicious and sweet...

The beach offered up a few interesting things..

A skeleton of sorts...must be fish bones....and of course a feather!!

This Cicada bug was attached to one of the umbrellas...

I was lucky enough to get one photo, before he took off...

The day just got more beautiful as the afternoon approached Sunset...

After a delightful BBQ'd lamb chop meal on the sunporch...

We retired once again to the beach deck...

For a lovely firepit...

As the Geese meandered by...oh boy!!!...that only means one thing...

The dreaded "F" word....I can't even say it out loud...

I am not ready yet...so many more swims to swim...

Sunsets to watch...

Flowers to "OOOOH" and "AAAAH" over...

And of course...more lovely firepits...my very favorite!

For now...I am very content with the heat we are enjoying...

BRING IT ON!!!

Hope you are all having a great day!

I am posting early...as I am being Gramma today...

Picking Vivian up...hopefully a swim...a nap...dinner...and a sleepover!!!

On the menu tonight...

Not sure yet!!! Perhaps we will venture out with Vivian..

Treat her to Swiss Chalet....she loves the fries!! hahaha!!

Enjoy the rest of your day....What are you up to???

                                   Cheers! :o)

Weekend Flower Arrangements.....And a New Kid On The Block!!

I was so excited last weekend...

My friend Devon and her lovely husband Mark...

Came out for a sleepover at the cottage....

When my boyfriend and I arrived Friday at noon....

There had been a lovely rain that morning...

Everything looked really nice and lush...

Especially for August...

Usually everything is pretty well shrivelled by this time of year...

After unpacking...

And discovering the carnage on the beach...I'm still pissed off about the watermelon...I know...i know...get over it!!!
Believe me...I am trying!

I got to work setting up the sunporch,as we would be dining out there....

I also got to work on my flower arrangements...

Luckily for me...

The Hydrangeas were still looking pretty good...

SO...

I snipped a few of those...

Some ribbon grass...

And a few Miscanthus seed heads...

DONE!

For this smaller one...

I added a few "wild" Rudbeckia...

Added a nice touch!

I placed this one inside!

This smaller one....for on the kitchen porch...I added some Sedum...Hydrangea and some Coleus stems that had been broken in the wind...

And my tiny Cantaloupe...perhaps it will ripen??!!

My guests brought me this gorgeous "Disco Bell" Hibiscus...

How beautiful is this???

I gave it a good watering...and think I have found the perfect protected spot to plant her!!

                                                 *************     *************

I have some great pics of our day and evening by the firepit...

BUT...

I can't get my Picasa Editing to work...and I wanted to do a bit of lightening on a few of them...I will wait one more day, and see if it starts working again...I find Pic Monkey a lot of work...and harder to get the pics back to my blog...
Any tips on that, out there??!!   Anything would be appreciated!

                                                 *************   **************

Hope you all had a great day...

Had sweet cheeks today...amd my daughter Lissa visited...
We all had a great time...but...I didn't take any photos...:o(

On the menu tonight...

        Burgers and Fries.....YAY!!!

             Greek salad...

                    Enjoy your evening...

                           Cheers!   :o)
