When I saw her at the grocery store yesterday....

I knew she had to come home with me....

And....

I knew the perfect spot...

And the perfect container...

I do believe...

She looks fabulous there...

No direct sunlight...

But...

Plenty of natural light...

Hopefully...

She will flourish ♥️

Still in the cool temps here....breezy....cloudy....few rain drops...

Had a wonderful day with Miss V....

Two bike rides...nice long nap....play doh and a tea party!

Think we might take off tomorrow afternoon for the cottage...

Bits & Bobs....

Still enjoying my White Kalanchoe that I purchased the same day as my Christmas tree...

Still as crisp and perky as the day I brought her home...

Bought 2 wee ones last week...

No pictures of them yet....

My daughter Lissa brought me this White Cyclamen before Christmas...

I am surprised it is still blooming...

I don't always have good luck with these plants...

Pretty pink at the base....

Christmas Poinsettia still looking good in the living room...

Love my Snowman Planter...had him for a very long time!

Miss V just had to pinch her Snowman's nose...♥️

Apple Pie Bread...all gone!

After heading to the bird feeders...

It is kinda snowy and blowy here today...

Heading for the deep freeze again overnite and tomorrow...

Lovely Fresh Green Basil...for my Greek Salads...and cooking with...nothing better!!

A few of my Hens and Chicks that I brought inside for the Season....

They smile at me alllll Winter long....

Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch last week...made with leftover Rotisserie Chicken!

I like to add cherry tomatoes..sliced red onion...freshly ground pepper to my Caesar...

This one was made using the Bolthouse Parmesan Caesar dressing...made with yogurt!

Very low fat...and oh so delicious!!

         We finally got to to the cottage yesterday....YIKES!!!...talk about frozen!

          It was wall to wall Ice and snow....she looked good, though! tee hee hee...

         Have some skinless chicken thighs marinating in buttermilk...

                  Will add some Panko crumbs and some Cajun seasoning...

                         Roast them til they are crispy and delicious!!!

        Not sure what to serve alongside...I am sure I will come up with something Deeeeelicious!

             Enjoy the rest of your day...

             Won't be long now...I can almost taste it!

Some Still Out....Some Already In...

As most of you know...

I love bringing some annuals inside for the long cold Winter...

Geraniums are usually my best bet...

Some I have had for 4 years...

And they just get better and better...

The Begonias don't always do as well...

But...it is still fun to try...

These 2 beauties here are still outside...

My Dragon Wing Begonia is HUGE...I have brought them in before...but they always die...so I am afraid that this beauty will have to go with the frost...if and when we get any...

The plants below...are already inside...but I have quite a few more to gather...
I think this weekend may just be their last stint outdoors...at least I can get them into the garage...I also brought my 2 fabulous Ferns from the cottage...
They are hanging out the front...still lovely and lush...but they are too messy for me to bring in...and I don't have that kind of space...so sad...:o(

Yesterday..........A Few BIts & Bobs....

Great news... :o)

And...

Some bad news..:o(

My boyfriend finally got out of Atlanta!!!!

YAY!!!!!

Should be home by 3pm...

But..

My  daughter {taken to the clinic by my other daughter}...

Has Gastrolinteritis...

A very nasty stomach bug....

And...unfortunately...

AIRBORNE!!!!

Geesh.....

Kept Miss V here with me today....didn't awaken 'til 8:30!!!

Went back for a nap....after her lunch...and is sleeping like a baby!!♥️

tiny double kalanchoe...reblooming...had it since early December...perfect!

the wee blue bird Lissa gave me for my b'day, matches the wee birdbath she gave me last year!
I keep it inside.....as it is just toooo nice...to go outside♥️

                 A wee bit of Bubble Guppies.....while I tidy up the kitchen....after building and baking 2 loaves to freeze....and take with us!!! tee hee hee....Doesn't she look cosy....all wrapped up in Granny's afghan?.....♥️
 

Baked......cooled......wrapped.......in the freezer....

I used Butter Pecan cake mix...add bananas from the freezer....top off with raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Make a topping with brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped walnuts!
 

Kept a few berries for breakfast.....love this with yogurt...or oatmeal....yummy!

This Morning In My Back Garden....

I always take my Jade plant outside for the summer...

He really loves it out there...

I just give him a good spray {bug} in the Fall...

And bring him back inside...

He lives in the dining room...

And enjoys the afternoon sun there for the rest of the year...

I have had this Crown of Thorns for a very long time...

He was looking pretty sad this year...

So...

It was either..

Give him a decent farewell...

Or...

Move him outside..

He loves it!!

Hopefully he will be putting out his sweet tiny red flowers soon...:o) 

This hot pink tiny Kalanchoe,in one of my Siamese Cat planters.. had flowered in the house...I cut him back...moved him outside...and look at the lovely new flowers!!

They are certainly a hearty plant, indeed...These Kalanchoe have been in this planter since early June...

Still flowering!!!

And even putting out tiny flowers from underneath!!!

Awesome!!

 

 No words needed for my Begonias...

Except.... for...
