Our drives to the cottage have been especially beautiful lately...
Nothing like a few Barns and Horses to create something memorable...
And don't get me started on the clouds!!!
Absolutely glorious!!
the Perennial Bamboo in my back yard here at home, put on a magnificent display last week....just before we had the wee bit of white stuff one night!
It was gone the next day...but we did have quite a few really cold days there...
We were at the cottage last Friday...a very nipply -4c...with a very significant windchill I must say!!!
No sleepovers for a few weeks...looks like it may be time to shut the water off...and let the old girl begin her Winter nap...:o(
This incredible white wicker chair was a curbside find last week here at home!!!
That makes 2 in the last 2 years...I found a green skirted one previously...
LOVE IT!!
A few pieces of beach glass last week...added to my HUGE collection!
Took these few last Friday...as I froze my A** off!!
Still leaves on the trees...and a gorgeous shoreline...
The Milkweed is doing it's thing quite nicely too...
We had a beautiful time a few weeks ago...warm temps...deck lounging...and I guess our last sleepover for 2017...
I consoled myself with a moist delicious Apple Pie Loaf...
YUMMY!!!!

As we turned onto the cottage road last Friday...
I just knew it was going to be a beautiful day!!
I have never seen this Horse and rider before...
And I tried to get a few pictures as we drove by!
When we pulled into the driveway...
I grabbed my camera...
Headed to the road...to wait for him to pass by...
While waiting...I thought...look at that cottage!!
How cute is she??
So...I snapped a few from the street!!
But...to my dismay...the rider must have turned around...:o(
Never passed the cottage...
Oh well...
This did not get me down...what a glorious day ahead of me!!
We set the chairs up...behind the beach deck...as there was a fierce East wind!!
We ate lunch there...sheltered from the wind...
No grass cutting...
Just...
Relaxation!!

My boyfriend got busy, and set up the fire pit, on the beach deck...
I got the kindling...and away we went!!
The Moon was very bright in the South east that night...
It looks fabulous when reflecting off the lake!!
My boyfriend thoguht that we should have a picture of me...
In my VERY old plaid fleece jacket...hahaha!
So glad I did not donate this!!
Comes in handy..for those chilly evenings...
And...matched with one of my cowls...very toasty indeed!!

When we went inside...I got to work on an indoor fire...
I just love spending the evening this way...

This is what we woke up to!!
Spent a leisurely time inside...putzing around...had a nice breakfast...
Headed home around 2pm...as we were attending an engagement party...
For my nephew Liam...and his fiancee Aimee!!
All my kids were there as well...and saw a few friends that I had not seen for a while...had a really nice time!! Even a live band...and MORE dancing!!

When we drove to the cottage last Friday...
It was THE dreariest day so far...
Everything is still pretty green...
And yellow...
And reddish....
But the lack of Sun is the worst part...
We got all the yard stuff put away for the Winter....
Even got the Miscanthus dug up from the beach garden...
The sun came out for ...like....5 seconds...
And I managed to get a few sunny shots....

Must have been very rough...I guess with all that wind last week....and the stones are piled high...and no sand beach at all...
This trip I brought my awesome rubbery shoey thingies that my Son gave me for Mothers Day....Very comfortable...and...DRY!!!!

As I was writing in my book...{I do an entry everytime we go...weather,wind,sun etc...what we did that day/weekend}
I looked back to last year at this time...
It was in the teens...right up until December...and we didn't shut the water off until December 28th!!!
And had sleepovers right up until that date...
Doesn't look good for any more sleepovers this year.....TOO DARN COLD!!!
So.......this wee guy made his annual appearance...
And....thanks to Pic Monkey....I added some snow!!!

Sunny and windy here today....0*c...the coldest day so far...
I got myself up and at 'em today...finally returned to Fitness classes...I had not been for nearly 6 months!!! The girls all welcomed me back, and made room for me in my old usual spot....A special thanks to Hester, for putting up with my indecisiveness...:o)...We'll see how I feel in the morning! Ha!
I am booked in for another class tomorrow morning...:o)

So...today is my boyfriends b'day....we already celebrated on Sunday....all the kids came over, and we had a really great day....Pizza all around...even a gluten free for my daughter...it is always so nice when everyone comes over...I really enjoy that family time ♥
I did not take nay pictures...I know...unbelievable...but my son did, so I am anxious to see those...
