More Beachy Stuff...

Hello Everyone!!!

Back home...safe and sound...after a very crazy drive home...

We ran into torrential rain...and hideous traffic jams...all the way!!

Coming from the Panhandle of Florida, our route is different...

We drove thru Alabama...only a few short days before that horrible tornado hit!!

We actually left a day early, as the weather forecasts were horrible for the drive home...

If we had not....we may have been involved in that devastating situation!!!

But....all is well...happy to be home...had a wonderful time...but much different from our previous stays further South...

We were in Seaside Beach...a beautiful community...fabulous houses...cute shops and places to eat...

But...much cooler temps...and heavy cloud cover...

We were ok with the cooler temps...we knew that going in...but we had hoped for more sunshine...

Our beach walks were lovely...sun or no sun...and only 200 steps from our rental house...which was A M A Z I N G!!!!!

SO...

Glad we missed all the miserable snow...wind and rain storms...

Hoping to see some higher temps in the coming weeks...

Off for a cottage drive Thursday am...fingers crossed all is ok...

Lake Erie experienced a LOT of high winds...and a lot of ice jams pushed ashore...hopefully not at our wee place...

Weather is improving....seems the whole worlds weather is kooky....

Hello! I am Still Here!

 HI everyone...

I have been a bad blogger...where does the time go?? ever since returning home from this fabulous beach, I cannot get myself organized!

Aren't these Sunsets gorgeous!!

We had lovely warm weather, up until the last 4-5 days...it was really windy, and on the cool side.

I do miss the warmth...

Today is just darn miserable!!

Dark and rainy....

I did manage to get my Easter dining table set today...We will be having Easter dinner on Good Friday, that way, everyone will have the rest of the weekend to do whatever
 they want. We had hoped to spend some time at the cottage, but the weather doesn't look all that great...so we will wait and see. We visited last Friday, and we left the furnace on low...as it was really cold inside! Fingers crossed we get out, and start the garden cleanup!! Got everything done here at home...and the rain is actually welcome, as we are dry...dry...dry!! There was a Robin in the yard late yesterday afternoon...I am pretty sure he did not find any juicy worms here!!

On a sad note...the lady that we rent the cottage from in Florida, has decided not to rent it out anymore...we were totally shocked!!! We started looking immediately...the problem with Florida is...people rent year after year...very difficult to get your foot in the door...and the prices to be ON the beach, have gone thru the roof. We finally found a place...up in Northern Florida...a beeeeutiful house, with a pool!! BUT...not on the beach...but apparently a short walk... 1 block...walk to shops and restaurants...sooooo...come next February, we will get to explore a whole new place...kind of exciting...but also kind of sad... I will surely miss these sunsets from these beach chairs...

If I don't get another post up before the weekend...

Florida Feathers......

Hello everyone!!!  I'm back!! Well..actually back late Sunday afternoon...

Drove like maniacs again this year, but we were very lucky, to have good weather all the way up...

It certainly seems like a distant memory already!! So darn cold here!!!

Flurries on and off all day...limited Sun!!

But...my daffodils and tulips are poking thru, so that is great news!!

I have a few posts planned for the next week or so...

Sunsets...flowers...sand...You know...the usual Florida stuff!! 

We had great weather this trip...only cooled down the last few days...

And it was the 💨💨WIND💨💨 more than the temps!! Chilly North wind!! 

All in all...a lovely vacation...💛

This Thursday Miss V is coming for a sleepover, it is March break here...

We did see her and her Mom yesterday...hugs and kisses all around ❤️

We will be crafting and baking....can't wait!!

We hope to see wee Miss N on Sunday...probably wont recognize her...but my Son did send me photos every couple of days while we were away...
She is a cutie!!
