The 24th of May long weekend....
Victoria Day....
Of course, it doesn't always fall on the 24th...
But...
We'll take it!!!
These are some photos from previous 24th's at the cottage...
This first batch is from 2010...
You can see it was a bit chilly...but that didn't stop us from bbq'ing and my son setting up the fireworks on the beach!!
We also had a lovely fire inside that evening...
And a firepit on the deck the night after....
My boyfriend and son played catch....I love that!!!
And we were never low on beer!!!
THEN....
Last year....2012...was a record breaker!!!
HOT HOT HOT!!!
I already had my baskets done...
Lily of the Valley was blooming!!
Found a toad on the beach!!!
Lola was swimming...and my daughter and SIL kept a close eye!!
Even some water skiers!!!
And....at the end....I painted the sunporch floor!!!
Won't be doing that anymore, as I have decided to just put a thick shiny coat on varathane on the new floor!!! Much less work for moi!!
A certain little Miss will also be spending her FIRST 24th of May at the cottage...
The start of a brand new tradition!!!
