More Beachy Stuff...

Hello Everyone!!!

Back home...safe and sound...after a very crazy drive home...

We ran into torrential rain...and hideous traffic jams...all the way!!

Coming from the Panhandle of Florida, our route is different...

We drove thru Alabama...only a few short days before that horrible tornado hit!!

We actually left a day early, as the weather forecasts were horrible for the drive home...

If we had not....we may have been involved in that devastating situation!!!

But....all is well...happy to be home...had a wonderful time...but much different from our previous stays further South...

We were in Seaside Beach...a beautiful community...fabulous houses...cute shops and places to eat...

But...much cooler temps...and heavy cloud cover...

We were ok with the cooler temps...we knew that going in...but we had hoped for more sunshine...

Our beach walks were lovely...sun or no sun...and only 200 steps from our rental house...which was A M A Z I N G!!!!!

SO...

Glad we missed all the miserable snow...wind and rain storms...

Hoping to see some higher temps in the coming weeks...

Off for a cottage drive Thursday am...fingers crossed all is ok...

Lake Erie experienced a LOT of high winds...and a lot of ice jams pushed ashore...hopefully not at our wee place...

Hope you are all well...

     See you soon....

       Cheers!  :o)

  1. I never tire of Ocean pictures. Keep this coming. We were priviledged to live in Santa Barbara 6 years in the 70's. I was so in love with the beach, but like the Military, preachers go where the Lord leads....so we have lived in may different places, but all in CA. For 27 years in our last church...it was totally inland...flatlands in the valley....no mountains, no oceans. But....we did have friends in Tahoe that gave us there cabin for a week or two every year.

I know you love and appreciate your lovely places, and I love that you share them with us. Makes me a little closer to the ocean. Love and hugs, and so glad you missed that horrible storm.

I just want to know the name and make of the truck that hit me! at my age it gets harder and harder to bounce back!
I'm glad you got home safely. the storms in the south were especially devastating. very sad.

    2. Yes, Peter is younger. Now 5 and a half. Yes, we call it Infant's School, Reception Class and he was made a councellor representing his year, with a little girl.Bless him.
Weather at last starting to improve . . . looking forward to getting on with some outdoor projects again, although busy inside putting in an en suite in my quite large bedroom. Doing a lot of the work myself which is keeping me out of trouble . . lol

  4. So glad you made it safe and sound, Linda. Scary weather all over, it seems. Too bad about the lack of sunshine for your vacation, but the scenery looks fabulous and your photos are amazing. My daughter and family went to Hawaii for 2 weeks and the first week they had a storm with 70 mph winds! It's snowing here and I am so over it. Hope your little cottage has not suffered any damage. Stay safe and warm. Hugs xo Karen

  10. Linda- So glad that you missed the storms and scooted thru there before they hit. While I like the panhandle is it not my favorite part of FL...and mainly because the weather can be more unpredictable there. Your photos are just fantastic-they are wonderful memory makers. xo Diana
