After a bowl of my chicken soup...I decided to run into town...and pick up a few things I had forgotten.
Boyfriend was going to cut the grass...so off I went!!
It was glorious warm sunny weather...such an incredible Fall we are having!!
Because I was driving...
I could stop...A N Y T I M E I wanted to take pictures....
It was fantastic!!!
After getting the green barn with the corn so high...it just got better!!
First pit stop...
The Shetland Ponies that we see every week...
They were right up against the fence near the road...and I couldn't have been happier!!
Aren't they just so beautiful!!!
The one came right up to the fence to say hello to me...
What a gorgeous face....
On my way back from town...
I went down this laneway, that we had used before.
Lucky I had the 4x4...kinda lumpy!!!
But beautiful views...and a fantastic old barn...can't get enough of these barns!!
The Winter shutters are up at the cottage, as much cooler temps are here as of right now!! Raining right now...not such a nice week ahead...
The kids were all out to the cottage...the guys to help with the shutters...and us gals to just sit around and look beautiful...hahaha!
Got some sweet pics of Miss V...and the bees and Monarch Butterflies enjoying my Fall Mums...will do another post shortly...
Enjoy your week my friends...
Cheers! :o)

Ah, such beautiful photos of my favourite season. Nothing so picturesque as an old barn, especially with the corn growing, and the ponies are totally adorable. See you soon, lovely Canada :)
ReplyDeleteI know how you love barns Patricia!!! The corn is really tall!
DeleteIt's always fun when you're in charge. haha. But aren't we always? lol. Gorgeous pictures. I just love fall when the humidity is gone. Everything is crisp and clear. Perfect for photography!

Love those back roads, too, Linda. You got some beautiful captures of animals and skies and barns. I am glad you have been able to enjoy Fall. We have had record warm temps here but it sounds like it is coming to an end. They mentioned that dirty S word for Friday--S-N-O-W! Ugh-- Not ready for that!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteNot yet!! I am not ready either...are we ever???
DeleteThese are fabulous photos, Linda. I would certainly frame a few. I am partial to barns and country roads.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had help with the cottage. Even with the gals around-have a few cocktails and clean a bit---call it a day!

Enjoy your week too! How are the kiddies?
Kiddies are very well, thanks. Peter turned 4 on Monday and is growing up fast but still comes to his Grampa on Thursdays. Rosa was 2 in August and doing very well. She loves singing and does so all day long with note perfect Old McDonald had a farm with all the animal noises and another favourite is The Wheels on the Bus go round and round. She likes to bash out notes on the piano in time and sometimes the right notes too. Sue and I look after her on Tuesdays which is lovely and I pick her up from a little play school at 2pm on Wednesdays and look after her for the afternoon. She loves teasing her Grampa . . . lol. And I read her lots of stories . . . :)
DeleteI expect you are looking forward to your new addition . . . :)
Sounds like she will be a singer like her Mum!
DeleteYes...2 months to go! Been crocheting up a storm!
Would love to send you her CD she had played in local radio almost every night. Eva Cassidy songs and a large variety, incl Ave Maria . . . :)
DeleteFeel so pleased for you about the baby . . . . many smiles about it . . :)
