What 's On Your Kitchen Table?

Yesterday was a lovely summery sunny day...

Decided to put my Pears and Avacadoes on the table...

To bask in the sunshine...

And ripen to a soft ...tasty.... deliciousness....

My African Violet is still hanging in there...

A few purpley/bluey blooms...perhaps time to purchase a few new ones for the seasons ahead...

To add some colour...for the goodness of my soul...

My wee Kalanchoe is going gangbusters...

I think it has bloomed 4 times!!!

Hoping for a 5th....no pressure,eh? hahaha!

The Succulent in the fancy pot was a gift from my daughter at the beginning of summer...

The stock had a pretty wee pink flower...

Guess it is time to cut that off!!

Spent the day putzing around the house...dusting...vacuuming...rearranging...etc...

We are going to BBQ a steak later...mushrooms and onions...

I have bok choy for my boyfriend and fresh brussels for me...

think we'll start with a ceasar salad...

Oh yes...of course...some kind of potato!♥️

I also took several photos in the backyard yesterday...

Will save them for another day...

It is a glorious sunny day today...

Think it is time to hit the backyard, for the afternoon sun!

My Ivy is turning a brilliant red....gorgeous!!

The Next Day........

Saturday morning view...YIKES!

Pouring rain...very high winds...

From upstairs...a FOG was rolling in! Scary!

We were pretty bummed out...

And it was chilly!

BRRRRR...

Called our son who was going to drop by...

Told him to forget it!

We were going to clean up, and head home...

Suddenly...

Out the kitchen window...

The birds were at the feeder...

My fern looked awesome...

As I turned to look out at the Lake...

OMG!!!

Well....will 'ya look at that!! the sun broke thru...shining in all it's glory!! SO...phoned son back..."Come on out!"...We went into town...had a bite to eat...back to the cottage, and enjoyed the deck and afternoon sun with Ryan and Anna♥️

mine is the drippy gooey pizza...his the foot long dog!

    Just heading out to pick up my new passport photo...did you know they won't take your picture  if you are wearing a white shirt!?!?

             So...yesterday...went to Costco...came home...changed...went back...GEESH!

Hour By Hour..........

1pm friday...cushions out...ready...very cloudy...

Heading down to the beach...stopped to admire the impatience and begonias...

zoomed in on a family of Geese....floating by...you can see them in the next picture...to the left..

Seaweed {which we never get}...washed ashore where the waves must have been pounding in the big rain/wind storm last week...

Inukshuk Village devastated...all was lost...no surviviors...*sigh*...start again!

1:30 pm....flipflops still intact...chilly...but hopeful!

2:30...food all put away...clean laundry all put away...table set...boyfriend cut the grass...I fed the birds...seems to be brightening???

2:45....

3:00pm....ok...flipflops off...chilly...sweatshirt...shoes...*sigh*...come on!

3:18....YEAH!!!...I knew you wouldn't let us down!!!

Skies clearing...can you see that big blue face there??? Perhaps it is The Blue Grumpster!!! hahaha!

3:30...OK...this is more like it!!! Bring me a beer...I'm on vacation...again!

Happy face...squinting in the sun!!

Freighter...coming from the Welland Canal....heading to the Erie Canal...we watch them all day long!

5:30...getting chilly...time to head up to the sunporch...

Ahhh...there it is...and the sun will be there soon!!

6pm...lovely sunset...heading back to the sunporch...dinner in the oven...

7pm...

Lovely and toasty in here...

And...

I got to dance with my boyfriend...again!

Saturday was a whole new ball game...

                 Gonna make some buttermilk soaked chicken fingers...

                      Simply amazing how plump it makes the chicken...and fish too!!

                       Fresh corn on the cob.....Greek salad....YUM!
