A Peek Inside.......Shhhhhhh.....

The Master bedroom at the beach cottage is awesome.....

This place sooooo reminds me of my own sweet cottage...♥️

I brought my own sheets, pillowcases, and one of my soft fleece blankets from home....

I do like my own linens...and...if the truth be told...a bit of a bed fanatic!

I like my sheets turned down "just so"......and the pillows "just so"...

In this beach cottage bedroom....it doesn't take much....to make it feel like home. ♥️

Don't you just love sheets that look like men's shirts?

I am a sucker for stripes....particularly in blue....so soothing and calming....

Nothing like pulling back the crispy sheets......smells like home....

Laying your crispy sunburnt skin on the cool fresh cotton sheets.....

With your boyfriend right beside you.....oh.....sorry.....drifting off here.....hang on a minute...

"Honey......roll over.....you're snoring".......♥️

Don't you just love the 3 mirrors in a row?

All different....shape.....size......colour......how fabulous!

Disregard all the "products" on the dresser...(also shabby white).....you know me....

LOVE my products!  ♥️

Now....wouldn't you love to spend the night In this sweet beach cottage?

Well you can't.....'cause I'm here......hahaha!

Perhaps we will book this place for next year......what do you think?

There is another bedroom......twin beds....same headboard....no posters....one is a trundle....

Just as adorable....but....no pictures yet.....perhaps later....

Sweet dreams my friends......hope you enjoyed the tour.....

Thunder and lightning here....buckets of rain.....tornadoes south of us....yikes!

We are tucked in....cosy and warm.....

Hope you all had a great day.....what were you up to?

On the menu tonight....

Roasted crispy crunchy boneless chicken breast....

Roasted taters and carrots.......delicious Greek salad.....(I make the best one!) tee hee hee

Enjoy your evening....gonna start dinner....

                      Cheers!  :o)

  1. Hey, am I first?? I could move into that cottage and bed right now. I change my sheets on Friday Morning, as I love clean crisp sheets for the weekend. Everything about the cottage is perfect. That bedroom is to die for. Oh yes, I do like striped bedding. I like to mix stripes and floral sometimes, and I love blue. In the Spring, I will change to my cooler bedding and it's blue. Love and Hugs

  2. Looks like a peaceful room to rest. Very nice.

My day was work, work, work, but I'm making big time process. Woohoo.

PS: Your word verification used to be easy when it was numbers, now they show me scrambled egg words. Going to try one more time to read that flip flop, stupid ass code.

    1. I hear you about the word verification Ivy.....took it off for a while.....not sure if I can adjust from the IPad....will check!

    2. It's back to the numbers which I can read. It's those whack-a-do letters that I keep having to redo.

  3. I love the beach cottage! One day maybe I will find one for myself and my BF.
I've always thought my own house cottage-like too.
    Stay warm and cozy!

    1. I am sure yours is....you do live more rural, right? Or, maybe I'm wrong...I know you have a large property, so I just assumed it wasn't suburban.....gosh....now I am all tangled up!
I am sure your cottage is charming....

  5. And I thought I was the only one that brought their own linen:) I'm crazed when it comes to bed linen. I've been know to get up in the middle of the night and start changing sheets. My husband use to call me a pea princess:) Yes, I understand...

The cottage is charming, Linda. I say go for next year too! You would probably prefer sunshine about now but as it is now evening, cozy and warm is a good thing especially in such an enchanting love nest. Enjoy...

Thank you for sharing...I haven't tasted your Greek Salad yet but I do remember how amazing it looked.

    1. The pea princess! Hahaha....that's funny!
I cannot tolerate musty smelly pillows and pillowcases.....my cases are changed every other day!
I also brought brand new pillows....nice and plump....down is my preference!

  6. Hi Linda. Your dinner makes me hungry....I had a grilled cheese sandwich! It is a lovely place and I do love the mirrors. Your sheets looks so crisp and cozy. Stay safe from the storms.

    1. Oh, I love grilled cheese!
If I didn't cook for the 2 of us.....grilled cheese would be perfect....or poached eggs!♥️

    2. Ohhhhh .... poached eggs done to perfection over toasty bites of crisp English muffins torn into little pieces with the yolk running down into all the cracks ... MUST make this for breakfast tomorrow ..... YUM!!

  7. Lovely peek into the bedroom. Hope to see more of the cottage as the days progress. I'm a sheet fanatic too ... fleece in winter and cotton in summer. Not a bad day here, still very chilly, but nothing falling from the sky. Big storm moving up the coast, should just graze our area with a bit of snow.

Today it is all about the roaring wind....and very high surf....

    2. PERFECT book reading, nap taking weather with the fireplace on .... sounds heavenly. LOVE the sound of rain on a roof (especially when I don't have to go outside in it!!). LOL

  8. I love the cottage bedroom with the pretty decor. Is that bead-board on the walls? I like that. Your dinner sounds so good. Your photos are beautiful of the beach and the birds. I can feel the warmth of the sand on my feet. Heaven! Enjoy the rest of the week. Hugs

    1. Not bead board.....just painted wooden walls...I must ask how old this cottage is...
Have lots of breadboard at home and at the cottage....I love it too!
      Enjoy your day.....

  9. What a pretty bedroom! I love that your brought your own linens, I would want to do that too. I use vintage all-cotton pillowcases on our top pillows that we sleep directly on. I like the way they feel on my face. They don't make sheets like that anymore, or they're way too expensive if they're out there!

    1. The old cotton pillowcases are the best!
      I have a few that my Mom embroidered....cherish those♥️
      Find them thrifting as well....

  10. It's beautiful...love the beadboard walls and ceiling! Very calming. Your sheets go perfectly with the decor! I'm picky about my bed things, too. And I would have had to have brought my own pillow. ha.

The whole cottage is painted wood inside....very shabby chic!
Oh I did bring new pillows, Betsy...forgot to mention....see how nice and puffy they look?
My son and I used to laugh at some pillows in hotels.....we used to say they looked like civil war bandages!! Ewwwwwwwwwww.....
Not mine....lovely and clean and white!♥️

  11. It is all very pretty, I like the trio of mirrors - you can really get a good look at yourself!! Like Betsy I travel with my own pillow which I put on top of the pillows, as I like to have three to snuggle up against!! xx

    2. You must have taken half the contents of your house with you!! I guess that is the advantage of two of you and a big car to stuff full of your things and it is worth it when you are going for a while isn't it! xx

    3. Yes....for sure!
We have an SUV, so it holds a lot.....the sheets and bedding aren't bulky....fit nicely into a big blue IKEA bag....if you know what I mean.....

    4. Yep, we have those IKEA bags here too!! xx

    5. I have about 6 I think....at $1 a bag....how can you lose?
I use them for the cottage at home.....great for dirty laundry....and returning with the clean laundry!
Hope you are enjoying your day!
      Very very windy today....chilly....high surf....think we'll take in a 4pm movie!

  13. It's a shame about the rain. It will improve.. But, in the meantime, if you've got to be inside, that cottage looks a gorgeous place to be!

  14. Not raining today.....very very windy and a very high surf!
On the plus side....perhaps there will be lots of shells on the beach tomorrow!

  15. Done any treasure hunting on the resale shops near the cottage? Would be a trove for finding cute things (I think) for your own cottage and serve as a memory of your vacation there! I would definitely book that cottage NOW for next year ... good places get snapped up year after year by the same people once they have stayed in a place they like (ask me how I know that ....). Anyway ... looks like a heavenly place to get away from the winter blues ... enjoy and hope you get more sun and warmer temps! Linda PS: Just read an article about "washing" pillows to get out the yellow and make them look pristine white ... whether they're down or foam ... down is the preference in our house, too. I am going to have to give it a try!
