Walking Home....Minding Our Own Business.....la-de-da....

After meeting friends for a few cocktails...

(and more onion rings).....shhhhh!

We were walking back to the cottage...

Along the beach....

Hopeful of a Sunset....as.....there has not been one for DAYS!

We encountered this handsome Heron....

Who had just caught his supper...

This other Heron....

Tried to sneak in.....and perhaps......Share the tasty tidbit...

Apparently not!

Off he took.....in a fluttery flash of wings....

Landed safely......a short distance away....

Under the watchful eye of Mr Pelican....

"Got any for me?"

Hahaha!

Aren't they one handsome bird.......NOT!......

Enjoy your dinner Mr Heron....

And....don't be biting these young guys! Hahaha!

Now...

Here is where the story gets scary...

As we got closer to the beach cottage....my boyfriend noticed someone sitting in the chairs....

Our beloved adirondack chairs!      *****gasp*****.  Who is that.....why.....how.....what.....

As we approached, my boyfriend asked the black gentlemen to please leave, as these were private chairs....

Belonging to the beach cottage....he said..."ok.....sorry"

We proceeded up the sand path to the cottage....to get the cushions and a beer....

As you can see.....when boyfriend returned to the chairs.....with cushions.....

He had not moved.....literally.....not moved.....did not turn his head...move his eyes...

                       Nothing.....

We asked him again if he could please leave.....

                        Nothing.......

So......I called 911.....and within 10 minutes a lovely officer approached the chairs....

And sat down for a chat.......a short chat......and then...

Off the mysterious stranger went...

Off into the night....

Apparently he is quite a celebrity in this area....

Homeless.....and a bit nutty......but not dangerous.....

The officer gave us his name....said to google it.....and.....sure enough....

Up came his many mug shots!!!

Geesh..........this could only happen to me and my boyfriend!

So............

How's that for a Wednesday post.....

Hahahahaha!

Hope you all had a great day....

Another crusty one here... :o(

Gonna meet our friends for dinner....

Probably no sunset again today.....

Took a few pics of unbelievable storm clouds....will share tomorrow ......

Enjoy the rest of your day.......3 days left

                 Cheers!  :o)

  4. Oh Jane...you crack me up. Linda - thank goodness he wasn't a bigger problem. We have a few 'characters' in our little town like that. You just have to ignore them but then again they don't come sitting on my deck chairs. I see he is 'tuned in'. He probably couldn't hear a thing your boyfriend was saying to him. Well, glad you are ok. Your heron pictures are AMAZING! Hugs

Sure didn't expect the last scenario. So glad it ended peacefully and hopefully you won't encounter that person again.
You could get a job with the paparazzi with your series of photos documenting everything.
