We are off to the cottage pretty soon...

Kids all joining us tomorrow...hope it doesn't rain!!

I have all the fixins' to make 2 gluten free lasagnas...

One veggie and one with meat...

Everyone will be happy with that! hahaha!

New Flag!!

I forgot to tell you all!!

I know I have shown you our flag on the beach many times...

My boyfriend buys them at the $ store, and we usually go thru 3 a year!!

We did not put up our Martin House this season...we hardly got any mating birds...and it is such a lot of work...so......the pole stood there!!

My daughter and SIL bought a flag mount, and a beautiful big flag for their Dad on Father's Day!!

They came out to the cottage...and Jeff got it installed for us!!

We love the way it looks!!!!

Doesn't it look awesome from way up at the cottage??

We could not see the other flag from up there...

Do you remember when I showed you how much Miss V's sunflower seeds had grown at the cottage??? Well....when I returned the next week...SOMEONE had eaten them all!!! Not sure if it was Chipper or the Squirrels!!

This is how it looked....:o(

I bought some more seeds...planted them in a smaller pot...and I left it on the sunporch...to ensure NOBODY eats them!!!!

Hoping for some seedlings when I return this Thursday!!

Pure cloud today...cooler...but kinda damp and muggy...

Hoping for some rain overnight...

In honor of the cooler temps...I am making meatloaf and roasted potatoes...

Fresh Asparagus with that...I also got some of our Canadian Strawberries...

                                   DELICIOUS!!!!

Patience Is A Virtue......

 I have been listening to this sweet wee guy for weeks...

Singing at the top of his lungs...for all to hear!!

He has stuffed this birdhouse with lots of stuff...

I even saw a cute gal checking it out...

I was patient...and this morning at the cottage...I was rewarded...

Love how these shots turned out...

I was zooming from the kitchen porch...

Love the shade of green that came through...

He loves to perch in my Rose Of Sharon bush...and sing his heart out...

He is...of course...a Wren...cute as can be!!

Another fabulous weekend in the books for us...

Hot and steamy...with the lake breezes blowing....fantastic!

Summertime...Summertime...Sum..Sum..Summertime!!

We sure had fun in the pool!!

It was her first time in this year, and really the first time she realized that she could touch the bottom in the shallow end! She loves to wear her "ELSA" bathing suit...with the built in floaties...Won't be long, 'til she gets the hang of swimming!!

Nothing like a bit of relaxing painting after a hard day in the pool! {me for sure!}

Early Morning Garden Walk.......

 When I come downstairs in the morning...

I always look out the living room, to my front garden...to see what is new!

Lately...I have been very aware of Miss V's Pumpkin plant...

And this morning was another delightful surprise!!

This greeted me!!

I had to head out with my camera...in my housecoat...to take a pic!!

Along the way...I found a few more beautiful things...

The backyard also offered up some beauties....

Miss V and I spent over an hour in the pool this afternoon...♥️

Her Papa and 2 Uncles went to the Blue Jay Game in Toronto...

So....we had the pool to ourselves!! 

It was lovely!  Nearly 90 degree water...just like a warm bath...thanks Papa ♥️

We both loved it!!

I was fortunate enough to capture the Strawberry Moon the other night...

The sky was incredibly pink...and then it appeared...

Fantastic! Totally beautiful!!

You Know It Is Summer, When.........

The Sunsets are awesome...and they include a Moon...
 

The teeny tiny path becomes even tinier....
 

The Kitchen Porch gets a fresh garden arrangement every week...
 

And the Sun casts shadows on the porch....

The Portulaca is in glorious bloom....

The Rose Campion...with its beautiful Silver foliage...rises up to greet you...

The Native Milkweed is growing on the beach...ready for the Monarchs and Hummers...

And the best thing of all....

Miss V's Pumpkin plant...

Has it's first flower!!!!

YAY for SUMMER!!!!!
