Isn't it nice to see everything blooming and growing so fast right now? We are enjoying some heat and sun finally and thunder storms may come through tomorrow. There is a fire ban on again....seems like it's just dry and any rain we get isn't enough. Happy Summer to you Linda. I hope it is a really good one for you and the family. xo Pam
ReplyDeleteNo rain yet...I watered!
DeleteEnjoy your week Pam....
Happy Summer! And it's just the beginning! That tiny walk way might need to be pruned back in a month or so or someone might get swallowed up! haha. I love that iron bird/bell thingy...adorable!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I usually have to trim the Miscanthus grass....
DeleteEnjoy Betsy!

DeleteSame weather here Linda..we've closed the parasols..one flew up into the air..everything is dry except what I had water..
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that portulaca..my mom always planted them..we lived in suburbia..and there was a litte mound beside the driveway..that's where she would plant them..full sun..so always a nice show:)
Yes, we have had ours go over to the neighbours! I too watered...no rain tonight :o(

Everything looks so pretty, Linda! Oh, those glorious, beachy sunsets! I could really put a dent in that hammock....So cute that Miss V's pumpkin is blooming:) Hope the storms aren't too bad. xx Karen
ReplyDeleteHi Karen...yes, the hammock is nice....it is in a nice shady spot...
DeleteNo storms....they travelled north of me...I wanted some rain!
Lovely photos . I find it hotter in the city and the towns with all the buildings and concrete , it would be cooler at your cottage as it was cooler here with cool winds and our temps were 23 felt like 30 not to bad really as we got the winds off of the lake . Yeah Mrs V;s pumpkin is flowering that's awesome . I have three Butterfly weeds which are also a milkweed type plants that are growing and ready to bloom yup come on Monarchs . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day stay cool and hope you can catch the rare strawberry moon tonight . Happy Summer !
ReplyDeleteWe really enjoyed our weekend weather...at least 10 degrees cooler than here at home...
DeleteLooking for Monarchs!
It is pouring rain outside as I write this, so your colourful and cheerful post is exactly what's needed. How wonderful that the little gardener's plant is flowering. She must be so excited about that!
ReplyDeleteHey Martha.....no rain here....I wish! Enjoy your week...
DeleteLove your summer list. Your flowers are gorgeous, too. It's really hot here....90's. Well, except for the weekend. It was wonderful. 80's and low humidity. One nice thing is that it is very cool in the early morning. I don't know how much longer that's going to last, though.
ReplyDeleteNice weather here today too...humidity gone!!
DeleteWhat a thrill for Miss V, her pumpkin having a flower! I'll bet she is so excited. Your pink sunsets are glorious, but I have my eye on the swan: what a stunner! I love it. Happy Summer days, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI have a few Swans!! I know you also collect them...so graceful!
DeleteDon't you just love it? I haven't ever planted portulaca, but I remember my mom having it in her "rockery" at home, and at my grandmother's. Such a sweet, old-fashioned plant. It will be fun for Miss V to watch her pumpking progress. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI see another flower on her Pumpkin plant this morning!! Must get out there and get a pic!
DeleteThank goodness that awful humidity is gone...for a while!
40 degrees -- too hot for me! Thank goodness we're half that here in Edmonton today.

DeleteHa ha!

I thought it was one of your sons!!!
DeleteTake care Martha...
I was using the Cabinet Maker's computer instead of my laptop. On James' computer Joe is signed into google on one browser, and I'm signed in on the other. It's the opposite for Facebook because James is signed in on one, and we sign in and out on the other. Are you confused yet?

Wow...you are having a warm summer. Sorry I've been away from your blog so long. It's been crazy, with VBS and all...but I think I'm getting back to my normal routine...whatever that is.
ReplyDeleteLove your daisies....my favorite flower.
HI Wanda...glad to see you back here...the daises are pretty,eh??
DeleteSuch colourful photos... and very beautiful! Magazine quality.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it has cooled down a bit. I have been staying with a friend while my condo is under repair and she does not have A/C, but right now it's gorgeous out. They have great big trees and lots of vegetation. Just had a fun hotdog street party at their place.
