Got a few more baskets done....loving these!!
My boyfriend moved my baskets up on the deck, as we were supposed to get a rain and wind storm over Saturday night...
We didn't even get a drop of rain...which I kinda hoped we would...
I got some green beans planted...and the sunflower seeds that Miss V planted out there the weekend before, are all coming up!!
This is my flowering Diablo Nine Bark shrub....nice,eh??
Even the sunset co-operated...and the 1/2 Moon was out there too!
Another perfectly perfect weekend in the books...
I love when we get a head start on the weekend, by going down on Thursday...
Just seems like you get so much more done...
I even got all the sunporch screens, taken out and washed down...a big job...but I loved the results!!
Even though it was pretty darn hot on Saturday, the Lake breezes kept us cool...absolutely delightful!!
Hope you all had a great weekend....
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last post...
You guys are THE best....♥️
Today has been a funny weather day...
Started out sunny...but a very thick cloud has settled over us...
Actually making it feel kinda chilly!
I have dinner all ready to go...
Homemade Potato Salad...sauteed veggies...and lean beef patties...
I tried a new combo for the beef patties...
Grated onion...egg...few bread crumbs...milk...worcheshire...dijon mustard...
Lots of freshly grated pepper and sea salt...
No buns with these...just grilled..... to perfection! hahaha!
Enjoy the rest of your Monday...
Cheers! :o)
linda ♥️
I love a perfect day like you do..the chairs and the water♥
ReplyDeleteYour baskets look festive and Spring:)
Love the callas w/ the peonies..
WE primped everything today..the gardens wer pouting while we were away and now they sparke I love that.
Home is best to me.
My Diablo Ninebarks are deep burgundy leaves..wonder why?
You look great too!
Just like us at the cottage! The gardens reward you when you take the time to groom them...
DeleteMy Nine Bark, was burgundy for a few years...and the flowers were more on the pink side...
Now...the leaves are green, and the flowers are white!
I must admit, it is very large..perhaps I was supposed to keep it trimmed...
We like BIG at the cottage! Hahaha!
Hi Linda! I am here for a nice long catch up! What great times at the lake. And Oh how Miss V loves it too, eh? Your poor toe! Ouch! I don't know what whipping is, but I am going to assume you were using what we call weed whacker? That looked painful!
ReplyDeleteLove the baskets with beautiful flowers and greenery! So summery. And the photos of Hubby with Miss V are the ones that really steal my heart. Looks like a grand time is had by all, each and every visit. Mo matter the weather. And how I love a big claw foot tub. Show me a pic!!
xo Kris
Thanks Kris...will send you a pic of the tub...had it reglazed this Spring..looks fabulous!!
DeleteEverything looks great and summery!
ReplyDeleteHome made potato salad...yum...I've been craving it! Need to make some soon!
I love potato salad...have enough for tonight!
DeleteIt looks perfectly lovely at your cottage. Cute idea with the baskets!
ReplyDeleteIt is the only way out there Laurie! The beds are full of perennials...at least with the baskets, I can water before I leave, and I move them back into the shade!
DeleteEnjoy your week...
Your baskets are very sweet...do you line them with something? I do the same-bring my plants and pots out to catch some drops then none! Funny how we have such similar weather, really.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your sun porch and deck...the great features and fun spots. As always, your menu sounds wonderful, you make me hungry!
Thank you for your good wishes on 'Thursdays' So much love and fun (and hugs!).
Jane
Hi Jane...
DeleteIf I am lucky enough, I find them with a plastic liner...if not...I fit a bag in there, and fill up with dirt...
Have a great week...
Beautiful shots all round . . . :)
ReplyDeleteHi Eddie....

Indeed a gorgeous arrangement of pink blooms against your white milk glass, Linda. Your pastel baskets are so pretty, they just sing of Summer and sunshine. You look cute and sassy by the door there! :))

I love my baskets too...and they will fill out nicely as the Summer goes along...
Your deck looks so pretty and inviting with all of those colours! Once again, your meal sounds delicious. I have some diablo ninebarks as well and really like them. -Jenn

Your cottage truly looks like the perfect weekend get away spot. And you know....those flowers....just lovely and Miss V out-shines them all~!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara...nice of you to say!!
DeleteA lot of work but it looks amazing! My nine bark is dark and flowers pink but it's in my shade garden.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that crazy weekend weather. We cook on Saturday and freeze on Sunday, not to mention the winds.
Mine used to be dark with pink flowers...something changed! hahaha!
DeleteYes...LOTS of work...but very rewarding! Keeping us young!!
Your arrangements and your baskets are beautiful. They make me smile.
