Latest Crochet Project....Finished and Gifted!!

Hi everyone!!!

Seems like it takes me forever to get something posted anymore!!

We had a fabulous time at the cottage...4 sleeps!! Only one lousy day!!

I had this ready to give to my daughter Erika for her birthday...

And.....now I can show you!!

I really like the way this one came out...easy stitches...love the colours!!

She has a grey couch, so I think this will match nicely...

I used Vanna's Choice again...love this yarn!!

                                    *********************

I am getting my weekend pictures together...

Last day of Summer and first day of Fall...loved it!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you are all well...

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last post...

I am feeling even BETTER...so that is good news!

Sneak peek at the kind of weather we had!!!

               Enjoy your evening...

                        Cheers!  :o)

  6. You dropped a stitch . . . hahaha!
Lovely present and lovely creation by a lovely lady . . :)
You are very talented, rather like Maria's mother who crocheted matts which still adorn my house. My mother's talent was tatting, similar but on a much smaller scale using a shuttle . . :)

I see the feet are still holding up well . . hahaha:)

    1. Hi Eddie....
Hahaha! I am sure I dropped a few...more likely to happen in knitting!
Tatting is quite a skill...I have seen it done with a tiny crochet hook...
Yes...the feet are hanging onto the flip flops for dear life!

Glad to see you back to your old (er I mean normal) self . . . lol

Having baby Rosa tomorrow for the day ~ keeps me young but my feet alas are not in as good condition, with or without flip flops . . :)

I find the time slips by me too...and I don't post like I used too. We are getting ready for our annual trip to Lake Tahoe and I'm really looking forward to it. Have not done any Fall decorations which is so not like me....get I'm getting old...I mean lazy. HaHa

  10. This is so pretty and my favorite colors as I love neutrals. Wow, you are creative, Linda!

So glad you had a great time at the cottage. Love your words, 4 sleeps. That's really how it should be measured. We've had so many weekend commitments here in the city but I can honestly say we are now ready to go back to our place and continue to settle in.

    Yes!

So glad you are feeling better. My cold seemed to last forever.

    1. Hahaha! We talk to Miss V like that...she understands "sleeps" rather than days!
I really like the way the afghan turned out...and it is fun to do! Keeps me occupied!
Still a wee bit of a cough...but, this has been since Labour Day weekend....I lost most of September!
More updates from your Lake House please!

  11. Oh, this is so pretty and cuddly-looking, Linda! What a nice gift! Love the tassels, too. Your piggies are the prettiest shade of pink! So nice that you had good weather for your cottage time. We have to savor these golden days while they last! xo Karen

  12. I really like that! It is more densely crocheted and I like that kind rather than the ones that seem to be looser with more gaps in the pattern (they seem "colder" to me). The colours you chose are lovely. -Jenn

  15. Love it!!! Your stitches are so uniform. Did you double crochet the whole afghan? How many chain stitches did you start with? The one I'm working on now is just one big granny square...I'm about half way through with it. I may try one like yours next.

    1. Thanks Laurie!
I started with a 130 stitches....half double crochet stitch....ch2 at the end of each row...
You can choose your colour scheme...I used Vanna's Choice...worsted...medium 4 weight....
Do show us your Granny square...mine is growing...but...looking a wee bit wonky! Hahaha!

    2. Thanks for the info, Linda!! I'll definitely follow your instructions on my next one. I'll show the Granny Square one when I'm done. My corners look kind of wonky, but I'm thinking if I add tasseles like you did that it might camouflage it. Ha!
