Laying Low.....

This is about how I feel...

Hideous cold, turned into an even more hideous cough...

My 44th Wedding Anniversary came and went without very much fanfare...

I have  a wedding shower for my future DIL this Sunday...

And...on Monday...

 I am supposed to meet up with Martha from New York...{a favorite blogger}

I certainly hope this awful cough is gone!!!!

I have been to the Dr's...

On antibiotics and a heavy duty cough syrup...

I have made a cup of Apple Cinnamon Tea...

And...

I am going to start my Granny Square Afghan...

      Hope you are all well...

                Cheers!  :o(

  2. "About how I feel" . . . you look as though you are about to pounce . . . lol
Congrats on your 44th wedding anniversary. It would have been our's next March. So we got married quite close time wise but not distance wise . . :). My son in laws mother got married almost at the same time and her birthday is the day after Maria's. Quite a few co-incidences.

    Get well soon . .

Love the piccie of the squirrel.
Pity you are not totally well. My mother used to swear by a mixture of Cider Apple Vinegar and Honey for a lot of ailments like that.

Hope the meeting with Martha goes well. Wouldn't it be great if some of us could meet? I feel I know some bloggers very well.

I had little Rosa round today and looked after her with her daddy. It was a lovely day and she was amused at the paper hats I made for her. She is learning sign language and made the sign for a hat and laughed a lot . . . bless her . . :)

  7. Aw, feel better soon. No pressure to impress, I'm not like that. If you need proof, you could probably ask my oldest Mississauga friend. We've known each other since we were five.

  9. This sounds terrible, Linda. Follow doctor's orders. We've all been through something similar like this here and I mean my family all over town! Very contagious.

    Love and hugs,

    Jane

  12. Aww ... sorry to hear you've been under the weather Linda. At least with a summer cold you can still sit out in the warm sunshine. I hope you're over it soon, and definitely in time to meet your friend! Hugs,

    People often take it before a flight . . . bursts immune system . . .
    I feel a "bug" coming on, I mix up a glass . . . I tell you, I am better in minutes.
Must be something squirrelly in my brain . . .
    I also use Vicks . . .
I stuffs a nose in seconds!
    Works for me . . .
Sometimes I think the power of believing something will work . . . does it!

  19. Yuk!! I hate those nasty colds. Do you have allergies? Ragweed season.
Just stay in your pjs all day and drink plenty of fluids. Your body needs the rest.
Love your new yarn. Can't wait to see the pattern on this afghan.
