A Very Special Day.....

Today is a very special day...

My boyfriend is 70 today!

Who could have imagined all those years ago...

That we would be celebrating this!!

I have known this man for 50 years...

Married for 44 years...and now...celebrating this milestone!

                                        ***********

I must tell you about the candles above...

When my Mom passed away, her dining room furniture came here...

In her tea wagon drawer, I found these 2 candles...they have remained in that drawer all these years...and today we get to celebrate with them!! How cool is that? They will be atop the Key Lime Pie..(i know...an odd choice...but boyfriend likes it!!) He is not a birthday cake eater! hahaha!!

I have made 2 pots of chili...regular and veggie...kids are all coming over later...Boyfriend's sister and brother stopping by...should be a grand day!!

One of my favorite photos of him💓

Another fav photo 💕

We made it out here on Thursday...it was soooo windy and rough...80km winds!!

I will share more photos later...

This is the birthday card I made him...

He loved it!!

This was the Moon last night...on Remembrance day...Beautiful!!

Hope you are all well...

         Have a great day!!

           Chilly but sunny here...

                Gonna jump in the shower!

                     Cheers!

                        linda ♥️

  14. Happy Birthday to your boyfriend! Your mother must have known you would need those candles, one day. Love that story. 44 years of marriage, in this day and age, is a great accomplishment. We've been married 36 years. We're in it for the long haul! Your chili looks delish. 😉

    1. Ha......you think Laurie? For some reason I left them in the drawer all these years...perhaps it was her way of being part of the celebration. She was very fond of my boyfriend...
