More Interior Shots.........and Some Crochet.....

This is the kitchen in the cottage......

Very tiny.....suitable for 2.....

We usually pull the table (very heavy) out a bit, to have dinner....

Cosy, huh?

The countertops are pretty cool.....with a glass inlay pattern....and backsplash....

2 large undermount sinks.....fancy taps and sprayer.....and, of course a garburator....

The small dishwasher is located in a big drawer, beside the HUGE fridge....

You can see my berries on the counter......♥️

The living room is bright and cheerful....

There is also a chair, for the boyfriend....

TV is inside the cabinet, behind those ornate wooden thingys!

Now......

This is the latest crochet project....

Started out as a black scarf......but.....wayyyyy too long....so....

Quick change of plans.......Afghan!

Gonna be an interesting blend of colors......stripes.....whatever tickles my fancy!

I have quite a few balls, of the same size of wool....sooooooo..

We'll see where it takes me!

So far.........I quite like it!

Had a great time with our friends yesterday.....ended up clearing up ok......went for a long walk...

Settled in for the sunset......and......a great black cloud blew in.....right over the sun! Blah!

Got the Greek Salad together......and grilled the burgers on my trusty grill pan....

Sliced up red onion, lettuce and pickles...

We set the outside table on the porch....

Lit some candles......

And we dined "el fresco"....

Superb!

They peddled their butts back to their place just after 8pm....

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves♥️

                   **************
Today we got the fog again......hazy......humid.....

Had a morning walk.....just thinkin' of what we'll do this afternoon......

Enjoy your day.......

                  Cheers!  :o)

  1. I like the starting of the new afghan ... and the splash of green is just my colour.
It looks like a lovely little cottage to stay in.
It's a sunny but cold day here with quite a bit of wind. Don't think I've accomplished much today .. just a bit of this, a bit of that.

  5. The cottage is really sweet and cozy. I love the colours in your afghan. It will be gorgeous when done. It's very cold here today and the polar vortex is making a return. I hope it goes back where it came from very soon so spring can make it's appearance. Enjoy!

  7. Garburator. I learned a new word. It's good to know these thing when one had Canadian relatives. And here I thought we spoke the same language.
The cottage is very nice. Simple and easy to keep up with. That's what I'd have if I wasn't so busy collecting stuff. ha ha!

    1. Actually the "garburator" is an American thing.....every place we stay in down here has one!
The hardest part is keeping the sand under control!

    2. Actually, we call them garbage disposals. It's the word that's new, not the appliance.
(I googled "garburator" and the word is decidedly Canadian.)

    4. Okey dokey....thanks for clarifying! Hahah......you crack me up!
      One thing, though.......
Don't put avacado pits in the garburator......ever........never!

  10. What a cute cottage. Love the colours and the cushions you have used to decorate the sitting-room. Or maybe it was decorated? Nevertheless, very cute. I'm enjoying all your photos so keep 'em coming. You've used some of my favorite colours for your scarf/afghan. I just finished knitting a scarf in the basket weave stitch which is fun to do. So no dinner? You must be eating out again tonight. haha! Well...enjoy! Deb

  13. Just back from our very long trip to LA and Vegas. It never rains in California and my hair was perfect in dry heat:) You may have to change coasts, although it would be a heck of a drive. Home for a rest. Very, very cold in comparison and supposed to get colder this week apparently. I plan to try and keep the vacation vibe going, reading, knitting....ordering in :) Love the look of the little place.
