Wordless...[well...almost] Wednesday....

Took all these last weekend...It was gorgeous Thursday and Friday...
Saturday.....not so much!

Hope you all had a great day...I was busy again!
I really need to learn how to relax!! ha!

I picked these 3 stones off the beach...

We are getting a slow gentle rain....ahhhhh....perfect!

On the menu tonight....

          Pepper Steak with red,green and yellow peppers...

                Served over no-yolk noodles...

                     Greek salad...

We were joined by Sweet Cheeks and her Mom...
My boyfriend and I picked her up from daycare and brought her home with us...
She had a lovely bath...snack...and some fun with Grampa!!

Fun Day Sunday With Vivian.....Down to Lake Ontario...

We had come home from the cottage, late on Saturday...

As a lot of rain and wind were expected...

And we had worked like dogs...

And...

We were tired!!!

SO....  That meant we were able to take Vivian for a few hours....

We packed her up...

And drove down to the beaches at Lake Ontario, in Port Credit...our favorite place to go in the winter, when we can't be at our OWN Lake!!

We started on the swings...she quite enjoyed that

Then onto a rocking horse sort-of-thingy!!!

Isn't that hat adorable???  I got that at Wal-Mart!!!

Then we headed down to the beach...

And then...

My battery went dead!!!

OMG!!!

And she was fascinated by the people feeding the ducks, geese and seagulls...

Darn battery!!!

Always happens at the most inopportune time!!!

Anyway...

After that...

We went to The Dairy Queen...

And had some cones...

Man...she loves Ice Cream!!!

But....no pictures!! :o(

I told my boyfriend we would have to take her for a cone again...

WITH A FULLY LOADED BATTERY!!!

She had it all over her face...like a white moustache!!! So cute!!

I spent 3 hours in the back garden..what a mess those darn Daylilies make...

They always fall over the other perennials who are struggling for some sunlight...

I RIPPED them out...ripped out the phlox...tied up a few things...raked...clipped...swept...watered...

And now I am crippled!!!

Oh well...a job well done....a wee bit more to do tomorrow...and then there is the front garden!!!    GEESH!!!

Not cooking tonight...Me and the boyfriend are going out!!!

Not sure where yet...but I am just happy to not have to cook...seeing as I am crippled and all!!! hahaha!

Double DayLilies In A Sweet Container...

My friend Leslie...

Over at "Leslie Jane Moran" blog...

Gifted me this adorable wee 9 vessel in a wicker basket bud holder...

I FINALLY found the perfect flower to use in this container...

Do you not think this looks absolutely sweet??

I was very pleased with the results...

I had tried it earlier...with Lily-of-the-Valley...

But I believe it needs the much larger bloom of this double Day Lily....

Thanks again Leslie...

I know I will be able to use this for many more wee arrangements...

I have just put Sweet Cheeks down for her morning nap...actually about 20 minutes ago...

Just enough time for me to do this post...as I have so many things to share!!!

Hopefully she will nap again this aft...after Grampa and I wear her out!!!

Something easy...defrosting some Spaghetti Sauce....YAY!!!

And....also a salad...hmmmm? Maybe something with cukes in it!! hahaha!

Cottage Beach Veggie Garden Update.....

 I was tickled pink...

When I searched my HUGE veggie patch on the beach...

I was elated...

To find...

First...

On Thursday...

2...

Fully ripe...

Quite large...

Absolutely...

Beautiful... 

CUCUMBERS!!!

Just look at these babies!!!

I have never grown cucumbers before...and a few "people" were skeptical...

But I proved them wrong!!!   YAY!!! In your face!!!

  

 And....by the look of these sweet little yelllow flowers...

There is WAY more to come...zucchini...and the biggest surprise of all...

Wait for it!!!

 WATERMELON!!!

Can you believe this???

There is also some Cantaloupe in there somewhere...

I can't explain how darn excited I was!!!

I wonder how big they will get...

And they "fell" off the vine!!!

Must be positive...

Looking forward to a HUGE harvest!!
