Now...The photos below are from 2 new Hydrangeas that I purchased...I left one here at home, but took the other to the cottage...It is not planted yet...too hot...and I have to find the perfect spot...where her heavenly blooms can be enjoyed by one and all... Isn't she a beauty??? But...{I always have to have a but!!!}...the trick will be to see what color she is next year!! Whenever I buy colored Hydrangeas, they never stay that color!! Oh well....how bad could it be, if they were creamy white...or pale green...Handsome...no matter what color!!!
Hope you all had a great ....all be it....HOT day!!!
It was in the mid 30's with a humidex of 40!!!
Kind of takes the fun out of gardening....I have the sprinkler on my front garden... I will be heading to the backyard to water....and then I think a swim...yeah, that's it...I'll go for a swim with my boyfriend!!! hahaha!!
This was the second Monday of Gramma Daycare...as my daughter likes to call it... and all went smoothly...good eater...good napper...loves the bathtub!!!
Feeling a lot better, but still has a little congestion on your wee chest...
Get better quickly Sweet Cheeks...your 1st birthday is on Friday!!!
On the menu tonight...
Grilled Pork Tenderloin...Pasta Salad...
Sliced juicy tomatoes with goats cheese and avacado slices..
Oh yes...I almost forgot...fresh basil!!!
Enjoy the rest of your evening...
Cheers! :o)

Hi Linda. The flowers are beautiful!! I have never had much success with those! I love them though. So you are going to be the babysitter! Wow, Hats off to you. It is a LOT of work!! I will be getting Noah again, as my Erika has just gotten a job and will be going back to work.
ReplyDeleteHugs,Kris
Thanks Kris...probably too hot and dry in California...but your veggie garden is awesome!!
DeleteI am only watching Vivian on Mondays...and a pick-up or 2 during the week...all I can handle right now...perhaps when she is a wee bit older...But, we DO so love having her! Good luck with Noah!!
Lovely photos ! Papa's huge Hydrangea bush is doing wonderful again this year as well ! We also call them Incredaball bushes , I want to get a pink one for next year . Oh what a cutie pie she is ! Supper sounds good ! I to put the sprinklers on the gardens this evening ! WOW ! Humid isn't it ? I was watching a bit of the weather channel and they have a heat advisory in place . Miggs and I spent the best part of the day indoors in the AC ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteIt sure is humid!!! I am going to do the back yard in the am...our swim was delightful!!
DeleteGorgeous hydrangeas! They are so pretty and one of my favourite flowers/shrubs. I really like the pink one. I have one blue one and it stayed blue this year too. I guess that means we have acidic soil here? We had the same temperature here today too. I didn't do a thing as it was just too hot.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue...I had one, and it bloomed last year the day Vivian was born!! Not seeing any flowers on it yet this year...there is still time though!! Perhaps you should get an air-conditioner for your bedroom!
DeleteWOW! Your hydrangeas are simply stunning. They are just so beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I hope Vivian is all better very soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer...she seemed better when she went home today...it was fun today!!
DeleteBeautiful flowers but an even more beautiful grandbaby!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debra....on both counts!!
DeleteBeautiful hydrangeas, a plant I don't have in the garden.
ReplyDeleteThe unsufferable heat continues.
Really??? I would have thought you had one, Crafty...
DeleteYes...the heat continues...
Oh my heavens, your Hydrangeas sure are flourishing, Linda. They look stunning!
ReplyDeleteI just posted pictures from the garden too and now I realize I really need to find a place for a huge Hydrangea!!!
Thank you so much for such a lovely inspiring post...
Hi Louise....thanks for visiting...your garden is awesome too...great work there!!
DeleteYes...get yourself a Hydrangea!
Beautiful baby ... lucky you!! Such memories you are creating ;-) Love hydrangeas and they seem to do well here in Northern Michigan. I put a little Miracid (produced by Miracle Grow, I believe) which changes the color. LOVE the white ones though ... showy against our other plantings. LOVE your site and the pictures ... the water drops on the hydrangeas was SO refreshing this morning since we're having a heat wave here! Linda
ReplyDeleteShe is a sweetheart...just transitioning into Day Care...not too happy aobut it! I will have to remember that Miracid...thanks for the tip!
DeleteThanks for your kind words!
Heat wave here as well!!!
You have to put something in the soil around the hydrangea that makes them colourful. I think it makes the soil alkaline or something. The white one you have is a lovely one, though. So huge and full!
ReplyDeleteI have heard that...I am going to plant one at my front here at home...under my pine tree...hopefully that will keep it pink!!
