The Weekend....So Far.....

I thought I would post this evening...

As I will be busy getting ready in the morning...

The cottage was sooooo relaxing these past few days...

Sometimes I actually remember how awesome it is...

And how fortunate we are..To be able to be its caretakers...

It is so quiet and peaceful out there...

Always hard to lock the door...and say..." See you next time"...

At home here...it is pouring rain and thundering...

I sure hope the cottage gardens get lots of rain....it is already very dry down there...

But...looking oh so lush in these pics from Thursday and Friday....♥️

I am posting on my Ipad, as that will be my routine for this week...

Hopefully some stunning pics from the East Coast...it truly is beautiful down there....

The weather will be on the cool side....fine with me! Mush easier to dress for that kind of weather....

Hope you are all having a great weekend....

How is your weather?

Gonna have breakfast for dinner tonight....

Peameal bacon...scrambled eggs...home fries.....yummy!

Enjoy your evening!

      Cheers!  :o)

Bits & Bobs From The Cottage.....

Gathered together a few shots from the past weekend at the cottage...

I had purchased a few Begonias the week before, and finally got them potted up in a nice fresh basket...

Don't you just love Begonias?? So dainty...and lacy looking...love them!!

My Dead Mans Parasol gets bigger every week...

He is a member of the Rhubarb family...

A very dramatic plant...and HUGE!!

My daughter Lissa and boyfriend soaking up the afternoon sun!!

Still a bit chilly...

When there is a brisk south wind off the Lake, we sit on the West side...where it is somewhat sheltered by a row of huge shrubs!!

A cosy place to sit!!

The Turtles are on our way to the cottage...

See them every year!!

We stop to say HI! and take a pic...

Lily of the Valley partially blooming...

Why does it always spread INTO the lawn, instaead of back INTO the bed? hahaha!

Snowballs are forming...

A few more weeks for those..

This Tulip was splendid!

Such vibrant colours!!

With the late day sun hitting it...

Beautiful!!

These 2 were playing very coy...in the afternoon sun ♥️

Got a few baskets all potted up...

Hopefully they havent shrivelled in this heat!!

I tucked them away, but the wind also dries them out...

I got a few different leafed Begonias this year...

Top basket on the left...

Will be interested to see the flowers!

Our view while eating dinner....gorgeous!!  Can't wait to go back!!

We have Miss V today...having her nap in the big girl bed ♥️

She has put her toes in the pool..."Cold Nana"...yes...very cold! You will have to wait a few weeks!!

We will be off to the park when she wakes up...very humid and breezy out!!

I took this shot of the Moon last night, just as I was headed to bed...

Hope you are all having a great day...

The trip I mentioned, is this Sunday...

Boyfriend and I will be flying to The Maritimes...here on Canada's East Coast...

Business/Pleasure...5 days...

A very beautiful part of our country...

And the very best part...I will be meeting up with a fellow blogger!!!!!

Her name is Pam Gordon...over at "Playing With My Camera"..in my sidebar!

SO excited to finally meet a blogger!!! Her blog features a lot of the local countryside and special events she attends down there. Her home and photography is so beautiful, and her gardens as well...she truly lives in a beautiful part of Canada...Wish me luck!! Hope she doesn't think I am too kooky! hahaha!

Making Summer Pasta tonight...at my daughters request!!

Have a great evening...

            Cheers! :o)

Today In The Garden.....

It is a very hot, humid, sunny, windy day here in Southern Ontario.

After doing some grocery shopping..a visit to the Greenhouse...and a shop at Winners..tee hee hee..

I headed home...changed into some cooler clothes...

Did a small garden walk...

And took a few pics...

Had made a sweet bouquet for inside...

I actually made the bouquet yesterday, as I was wondering around the yard with no camera!!

As I reached for the hose in the backyard...

I was greeted by a beautiful dragon fly...

After some coaxing...he/she took off on their merry way!!

The Squirrel proof feeder I got for Mothers day...

Apparently RED did not get the memo...

He was having a grand old time...

INSIDE the feeder!!

Oh gosh...I laughed at that!

Must send my daughter and SIL a photo!!

Hope you are all having a great day...

Hot and steamy where you are???

Hopefully we will get some much needed rain here...

Nothing so far for a few weeks!!

I am going to use the good old BBQ this evening...

Big juicy beef shishkabobs to grill!!

Peppers..onions and mushrooms to accompany them...

And some wild rice...And Ceasar salad...what the heck!!

Whats going on in your kitchen..or backyard..tonight??

         Enjoy your evening...

                    Cheers! :o)

Cottage Bouquets & A Very Special Visitor.....

Another very interesting weekend at the cottage...
Friday was bitterly cold, with the wind off the Lake...
It finally turned to a North wind, and we were able to enjoy a bit of late day sunshine...

My bouquets this weekend, were built with a few Mauve Lilacs in bloom...several Tulips, and some false Solomons Seal...

They came together nicely for yet another weekend arrangement!!

Even captured a Lady Bug...did you see her??

We enjoyed a lovely fire after dinner...and boy oh boy, is that furnace getting a workout this Spring!!

SOOOO glad we put that in last Fall!

I made a small arrangement for the kitchen shelf...

A few Lily of the Valley...

Perfect for that spot!

Saturday started out rather frosty...as the day progressed, it warmed up to about 14*c...still rather chilly for this time of year...we got a lot of yard work accomplished...and even had a nice visit from my daughter Lissa and SIL Jeff! we huddled together in the sunshine to keep warm!! hahaha!

Sunday was still breezy, but a lot warmer...

We stayed 'til 4:30, and the car said it was 21*c...much better!! As we approached Burlington it was 30*c!!!
Strange how the weather changes, when you go around one of The Great Lakes!!

All in all..a very nice weekend...

And we had the sweetest little visitor!!

A cute Tea Cup Bunny was munching in the drive way all weekend!! Hope he is still there next weekend!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Happy Memorial Day to my American friends...

I have been a bad blogger...need to visit you all!!

Weekends at the cottage sure interfere with commenting!!

Forgive me??

Hahaha!

Enjoy your evening...And your fireworks!!

                                 Cheers!  :o)
