Today In The Garden.....
It is a very hot, humid, sunny, windy day here in Southern Ontario.
After doing some grocery shopping..a visit to the Greenhouse...and a shop at Winners..tee hee hee..
I headed home...changed into some cooler clothes...
Did a small garden walk...
And took a few pics...
Had made a sweet bouquet for inside...
I actually made the bouquet yesterday, as I was wondering around the yard with no camera!!
As I reached for the hose in the backyard...
I was greeted by a beautiful dragon fly...
After some coaxing...he/she took off on their merry way!!
The Squirrel proof feeder I got for Mothers day...
Apparently RED did not get the memo...
He was having a grand old time...
INSIDE the feeder!!
Oh gosh...I laughed at that!
Must send my daughter and SIL a photo!!
Hope you are all having a great day...
Hot and steamy where you are???
Hopefully we will get some much needed rain here...
Nothing so far for a few weeks!!
I am going to use the good old BBQ this evening...
Big juicy beef shishkabobs to grill!!
Peppers..onions and mushrooms to accompany them...
And some wild rice...And Ceasar salad...what the heck!!
Whats going on in your kitchen..or backyard..tonight??
Enjoy your evening...
Cheers! :o)

Lots of beautiful rain in Northern Michigan ... thunder boomers passing through as I type this. I don't think a feeder has (yet) been invented to dissuade squirrels but hope springs eternal!! Special nephew arriving for a visit later tonight ... dinner will be delicious cod with an assortment of veggies and an angel food cake with berries for dessert ... doing good on Weight Watchers and sticking to my guns!! The pictures were beautiful ... thanks for sharing, Linda!
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you Linda!
DeleteGood for you....wish I could!
Lovely flower photos Linda! I really like your pretty little bouquet, or 'mussie tussle', as they used to call them. It's been sunny one day and rainy the next here it seems, but it's also been quite warm and a bit muggy too. Going to be 30 tomorrow. So far Monday looks like sunshine and 20 something after a rainy Sunday. :) That's a great picture of Red inside the feeder! So funny. Have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam!
DeleteMuggy today...we ate outside...nice!
Looking forward to Monday!
Red drives me crazy!
Oh my gosh, that third photo...glorious! I love the lily of the valley, too. And any bouquet with lotv is beautiful to me. We had rain yesterday and today really hot and humid. At least the rain made our grass pop through. Oh that Red...he's funny. Gotta give it to him. It's barbeque time here, too. And lots of salads. Enjoy your evening, Linda. Deb
ReplyDeleteNo rain for us....yet!
DeleteI watered the backyard today!
I had 2 pieces of beef....veggies...and most of the salad!
I LOVE the picture of the dragon fly!! Fantastic!! The little bouquet is adorable! We have been getting rain here but the ground seems as dry as ever. Everything is dry here in the almost desert!
ReplyDeleteI know! Cool,eh?
DeleteNo rain for us! Really dry here too! But not the dessert!
Beautiful shots of the flowers, Linda . . . and superb one of the dragonfly. Amazing design of the wings and so delicate yet so strong. Coaxing . . lol . . did it respond to French Canadian or English Canadian . . . lol
ReplyDeleteRed inside the feeder . . . lol . . . I think you should send a copy photo to the manufacturers . . . clever little guy is that Red but nor a Houdini I imagine . . . . :)
I think you should call him Eddie Red . . . oh we might have been there before with that . . . :)
DeleteI agree with Eddie. Send a copy to the manufacturer if they advertise this as squirrel-resistant. Maybe you'll get a years supply of 'something'.
DeleteOk...ok....1 at a time!
DeleteHi Eddie....
Yes....we have already been through that!
Hi Deb.....
I threw the tag out!
I guess I could ask Lissa &Jeff....but I don't really remember that it was Squirrel proof....they just thought he wouldn't be able to get the seed! I even saw a mouse clinging to it the other day! Geesh!
Today in the garden - everything was looking totally beautiful in your garden!!!!!! So many gorgeous flowers!!! Oh gosh though, that red!!! really, I mean! What is he like - IN the feeder!!!! He really is a cheeky wotsit isn't he!!! Naughty fellow!!! xx

ReplyDeleteLove the bouquet...so sweet. I can see where Erika gets her flower talents!
That dragonfly is color coordinated with the hose! How cool is that?
We grilled chicken tonight...delish. Had watermelon, deviled eggs, corn and 4 bean salad all left over to go with it.. yummy.
We finally got a good hard rain and the humidity left....dropped about 25 degrees, too!
DeleteYes....I like everything colour coordinated! Hahaha!
DeleteYour dinner sounds delish....we dined outside! Very nice! We opened the pool yesterday....

ReplyDeleteWe were due to have rain the last two days but not much as of yet. Few drops.
He is one wild and crazy guy!
DeleteThat silly Red! What a funny picture.
ReplyDeleteHahaha!

DeleteGorgeous pics of the flowers and what a great close up of the dragonfly! Do you have a zoom lens? And the squirrel? A classic!
ReplyDeleteSoooo humid here but a little respite after rain after rain after rain. Thought tomorrow was going to be sunny and "normal". Nope. Just watched the news and more rain. Ugh.

OMG that mischievous little red getting right inside the feeder. Hot and humid yesterday but this morning is sort of cloudy but not really any rain to come. We sure could use some.
