Today In The Garden.....

It is a very hot, humid, sunny, windy day here in Southern Ontario.

After doing some grocery shopping..a visit to the Greenhouse...and a shop at Winners..tee hee hee..

I headed home...changed into some cooler clothes...

Did a small garden walk...

And took a few pics...

Had made a sweet bouquet for inside...

I actually made the bouquet yesterday, as I was wondering around the yard with no camera!!

As I reached for the hose in the backyard...

I was greeted by a beautiful dragon fly...

After some coaxing...he/she took off on their merry way!!

The Squirrel proof feeder I got for Mothers day...

Apparently RED did not get the memo...

He was having a grand old time...

INSIDE the feeder!!

Oh gosh...I laughed at that!

Must send my daughter and SIL a photo!!

Hope you are all having a great day...

Hot and steamy where you are???

Hopefully we will get some much needed rain here...

Nothing so far for a few weeks!!

I am going to use the good old BBQ this evening...

Big juicy beef shishkabobs to grill!!

Peppers..onions and mushrooms to accompany them...

And some wild rice...And Ceasar salad...what the heck!!

Whats going on in your kitchen..or backyard..tonight??

         Enjoy your evening...

                    Cheers! :o)

  1. Lots of beautiful rain in Northern Michigan ... thunder boomers passing through as I type this. I don't think a feeder has (yet) been invented to dissuade squirrels but hope springs eternal!! Special nephew arriving for a visit later tonight ... dinner will be delicious cod with an assortment of veggies and an angel food cake with berries for dessert ... doing good on Weight Watchers and sticking to my guns!! The pictures were beautiful ... thanks for sharing, Linda!

  2. Lovely flower photos Linda! I really like your pretty little bouquet, or 'mussie tussle', as they used to call them. It's been sunny one day and rainy the next here it seems, but it's also been quite warm and a bit muggy too. Going to be 30 tomorrow. So far Monday looks like sunshine and 20 something after a rainy Sunday. :) That's a great picture of Red inside the feeder! So funny. Have a nice evening.

  3. Oh my gosh, that third photo...glorious! I love the lily of the valley, too. And any bouquet with lotv is beautiful to me. We had rain yesterday and today really hot and humid. At least the rain made our grass pop through. Oh that Red...he's funny. Gotta give it to him. It's barbeque time here, too. And lots of salads. Enjoy your evening, Linda. Deb

    2. I agree with Eddie. Send a copy to the manufacturer if they advertise this as squirrel-resistant. Maybe you'll get a years supply of 'something'.

Soooo humid here but a little respite after rain after rain after rain. Thought tomorrow was going to be sunny and "normal". Nope. Just watched the news and more rain. Ugh.
