The Weekend....Part 1...Dazzling Daffodils

Such a delightful surprise...

To see all the Daffodils smiling as we arrived!!

And...

My forgotten bouquet...

Was just as fresh as when I forgot it!

First of the Season...

But...

Certainly not the last...

Hope you are all having a great day...

And that you had a wonderful Mothers day...if applicable!!   { hi Eddie}

It was a gorgeous weekend...with my favorite cottage guests!!

All my kids and of course...Miss V...who even had a nap in Nana and Papas cottage bed!

She is napping right now...

With both knees bandaged...scraped them at daycare...:o(

The park is in order after the nap...we promised!!

Having buttermilk soaked, panko crusted baked sole...

Potato hash browns...and lovely fresh baby carrots...

Miss V loves fish and pasta...so...today is fish!!

As  the boyfriend and I "overindulged" on the weekend...

It is nice to have something light....

Weather here is kooky again...

Chilly and damp...even a bit of fog!!

The sun is trying to come out....

My bamboo here at home grew about 2 feet on the weekend!!

Think I'll grab my camera...steal out to the yard...and take a few pics!!

Enjoy the rest of your day...

How did you spend your weekend??

                             Cheers!  :o)

  2. Gosh you woke up and got out of bed early to write this one . . . . lol . . . or have I overslept?
    Saw your little "Hi Eddie" . . . err . . . I'm not a mother . . . or if I am no-one has told me . . . lol

Love the display of daffs . . . . . really lovely. Was it Wordsworth who said, "A host of golden daffodils" in his poem? . . . :)

    1. Hi Eddie....
I had TONS of daffodils in bloom! Very nice!
Not much on poetry....but I have already admitted that!
      How was Peter?

    2. Peter was great and so easy ~ he behaved the best he ever has and we went to feed the ducks on Thursday. It was election day too on Thursday and I stayed up ALL night watching a truly mind blowing account of the election with all it's twists and turns and big names being defeated. Anyway I still had Peter next day having had NO sleep . . . lol . . . and he was so easy, we went for a long walk as well and when his mum picked him up at 5pm I crashed out for 2 hours and was ok again to watch some big resignations.

So Peter was great and I saw him again on Sunday in church . . . :)

Leg very much better ~ nearly as good as me . . . lol

  3. Hi Linda- love the white daffodils. My neighbour has some but they are right over the fence from our well pump so I can really enjoy them. I did spend some time with my kids at breakfast on Mother's Day and then we all started out for the long drive home from Waterloo. A different one this year for sure. My MIL is gone but she wanted to be with her husband and her oldest daughter again. She spoke of being tired and anxious to 'go home'. May she rest in peace now. Today it is raining and chilly here. The cats (and my little Red) were happy to have us home. Glad you had a lovely Mother's Day. You deserve it. (don't we all.) haha!

  8. Beautiful daffodils - just love their trumpet-y petals. Went to the COC's double bill opera Bluebeard's Castle/Erwartung on Friday night and then a CCOC opera Alice in Wonderland on Saturday night. Both amazing. Couldn't switch the tickets and had to attend for professional reasons but spent the rest of the time huddled in bed hacking. I'm now on heavy-duty antibiotics. Takes about 48 hours to kick in. Also have nasal spray and strong cough syrup. Bring it on!

  15. Love the dazzling daffodils. My BF planted some in our garden and the neighbour commented that they look so perfect, almost as if they were plastic. Hmm...not sure whether that's a compliment! The greenery just suddenly erupted after I arrived back from NY yesterday. Isn't Mother Nature amazing?
