Best Thrifty Purchase....EVER!!!

Last Friday...

On our way to the cottage...

We stopped into Beamsville, and one of our favorite Thrift Stores...Bibles For Missions..

As soon as I walked in...I spied this!!!

As it was near the front of the store, I figured it was in the Auction...

But...

To my delight...

It was marked...

***$5***

I nearly screamed!!

Next chore was to convince the boyfriend that it would fit into our 2 dr car, as we did not have the SUV that day!!

Everything was a go!!

Until we got it to the car...

A bit of wedging...

Grunting...

Groaning...

Squeezing...

She's in!!!!

I cleaned her up...

She was in excellent shape...

We put it in the waterside guest room...under a blanket...

Miss V's Mom has a kitchen for her for Christmas, so we did not want to spoil that surprise!!

This smaller bedroom...

With the twin beds...

Will be hers, once she starts sleeping over at the cottage...

We had this window put in...which allows the setting sun to stream sunlight in at the end of the day!!

These quilts were from her Moms bedroom when she was a little girl...
The eyelet bed skirts were another thrifty buy at the same store years ago!!

This is where I house most of my paint-by-number paintings...

I should show you some time!!

                                *****************************

We will be picking her up shortly and heading out for a drive to the cottage...

It is quite a bit colder today...as a cold front has dropped in for the weekend...

Our temps for Christmas Eve are expected to be in the midteens celsius!!

We will stop for lunch along the way...

Hopefully Miss V will get to explore the beach...throw a few stones in!!

But...fingers crossed...she doesn't spy her Disney Princess Kitchen in the other room!!

I will have my camera on overtime!!

Hope you all have a great day...and a great weekend...

                      Cheers!  :o)
                         linda

**ps...notice the recipe book has a recipe for banana bread!!! how appropriate!!**

I hope you're enjoying the weekend at the cottage. It's mild here too and foggy. snow is melting down again. Take care. Hugs. Pam

  17. That is a fabulous thrifty find and Miss V will love it. Our granddaughter, 6, still loves her kitchen and she asked for a washing machine for Christmas. I'm hoping she takes in my laundry :) but she says, silly Granny, it's a play washing machine for my dolly clothes.
