Warm...Sunny Wednesday WIth Miss V......

I was so thrilled to see the sun shining this morning...

It seems like weeks, since we have seen its beauty...

And...with warm temps to go along with it...9*c today!!

I knew it would be a perfect day with our Miss V♥️

I planned the day out in my mind...

Pick her up at 11...

Lunch...bike ride...get the mail...a trip to the park...

It was to be sunny 'til early afternoon...so this was a great plan...

Everything went accordingly...

And I captured these pics of her..."riding" one of our garden Lambs...

It was after our bike ride and walk to the park...

She shed her riding helmet and jacket...and wanted to play in Nana's forest!

The shots came out beautifully...her cheeks still rosy from her ride...

She asked for "5 more minutes"...I agreed...who could resist??

After getting off the lamb...she did her usual running away...hahaha!

When I reminded her that we had a new book to read before her nap...

And a banana spice cake to bake after her nap...

She agreed to come in...

So...as predicted...the darn old clouds have rolled back in...

3:30 in the afternoon, and it is dark...

Turned on the Tree and all of my assorted fairy lights around the house...

I have everything ready for Miss V and I to work our magic in the kitchen...

We are good at banana loaves...NOT cookies!! hahaha!

She and her Mom are staying for dinner...Summer Pasta has been requested...

I have the garlic...grape tomatoes and zuchinni all chopped and ready...

Guess I better go and coax Miss Sleepyhead out of her toasty bed...

We got some baking to do!!!

Hope you are all having a great day, and you got to enjoy some sunshine...

Have a great evening...

                         Cheers!  :o)

  1. We sure are enjoying this sunshine and mild temps. I actually have a window and a door open...airing out paint fumes. The painters are finished and gone. Miss V's hair is getting so long. Just 5 more minutes...haha....I love it. They know how to melt our hearts, don't they? Have a great afternoon of baking with your little sweetness!

I have tried to French braid her hair...think it just needs to be a wee bit thicker!
Should I dampen it? Would that make it easier to work with?
I used to do my girls hair♥️

You are really making a wonderful contribution to helping to build her character and happiness which she will carry all the days of her life . . .

  7. It was a beauty of a day here, too, Linda. I had some gifts to pick up from an artist friend and then a trip to IKEA for another gift and ended up buying myself new tea-cups and more Christmas lights. I should never go in there. haha! Tomorrow calls for rain but still so warm for this time of year. That Miss V is such a cutie and my, she is growing up fast. Same with our Riley. They are both young ladies now.

It got up to 11C here - kinda scary how warm it is. I guess our chances of a white Christmas are nil. Ah well, enjoy it while we can.

Know you Banana loaves will not be as fun as your cookie story...HaHa.

  20. That child just keeps getting cuter and cuter.
I am liking this warmer weather, and it does make going back and forth to Rochester on work days so much easier. I only had to scrape frost from my windshield once this year. That's a plus.

  22. Oh good, I haven't fallen that far behind in your blogs. By now you must have come and gone to the cottage. I love Miss V.'s boots, especially in the one without colour, (sepia?) except for the blue of the boots. Very arty, LSK. :) We attended the annual Indonesian Xmas evening last night and there was our 94 year old former local mayor, still as feisty as ever and driving herself in her SUV. Hmm...not sure how comfortable I am with that! Enjoy the warm weather, although we're supposed to have rain today...

  23. I've been catching up (yet again!) with you Linda. Your Miss V is a sweetheart, and she is going to remember riding the garden lamb for many years. You two have such fun together, and she obviously thinks the world of her Grandma! Loved the stories of the 'failed' cookies ... and that look on her face trying to please you. Your Christmas decorating looks beautiful, and I hope you do get to spend New Year's at the cottage. The temps are so warm, but gosh, I could do with some sunshine again over these very dark cloudy days!! Enjoy your weekend :)

  24. Your little Miss V gets prettier by the day! And what a great time you had---she's at the perfect age to do so many varied activities. And you are a terrific grandmother!!

Gloomy crappy weather here although it's been quite warm. I guess if it were freezing we'd all be complaining as well! lol!

Can't wait to hear about your dinner party!
