~~*Hello There June*~~

Can you all believe that it is JUNE already?
Seems like yesterday, that it was far off...
My garden at home here, is blooming gorgeous!
Yesterday, I noticed the first of the Summer Anemones...
Love this wee perennial...
And it is spreading like crazy, which is just fine with me!
It dies away after it is done...to make way for the Daisies and Black Eyed Susans...

Now...

Let's talk Peonies!
My white ones surprised me this morning...I think the blooms are usually later in June...perhaps a couple of weeks from now...but I guess that heat wave brought them to bloom sooner...I have 2 other bushes...one is a pale PINK and the other is a darker richer PINK...no matter the colour...they are one of my favourite summer blooms...all 3 bushes are from my Mom's garden,so that makes them even more special...♥️ The PINKS are not showing signs of opening up yet...so...I will be in bouquets for a few weeks!!

The Anemones are a delicate palest of YELLOW...almost white, but not quite...
I am thinking of cutting a few of them, and make a nice posey...
But...they seem to have a lot of little black bugs on them...I looked it up...and...guess what they are called..."little black bugs!" hahaha!
Anyway...hope you enjoy my Peony pics...lots more blossoms to come!

Not having Miss V for today...we will be picking her up tomorrow, and we will have her for 4 sleepovers!!! Her Mom is taking a few days and going to Boston with a friend...they will be seeing 2 Blue Jays baseball games while there! Her friend is Boston fan, and my daughter...of course...a Blue Jays fan...a much needed break for her...for sure!!

So...4 sleepovers...I am tired already!!

I think we will go to the cottage...not sure if she will manage 2 nights there...
We have a bit more to keep her busy here...but...you never know!

My gardening buddy was very busy here last week..
.
She had to water her wee garden...we added some YELLOW snapdragons...some hot PINK sunshine impatience...some PINK dianthus...and a few perennials to her pots...she cleaned the bird bath for me...filled it up...watered everything...we got her PUMPKINS planted and her SUNFLOWERS are doing great in a pot in the back yard...I think we will take the rest of the seeds to the cottage, and get them planted out there...

She also found a few more SNAILS...this time, they had real SNAILS in them...she watched them for a long time..."They are out of their shells Nana!"

You may remember that chair I found...I have not done anything with it as of yet...{probably won't either}...but I did mange to put it at the front of the house...

She loves to sit there...so...

I think it is perfect ♥️

Hope you are all doing well...and enjoyed and survived the heat wave!! Today is a perfectly beautiful day...breezy...sunshine...low 20's c ...lovely!!

Thanks for hanging on for the long post...

Not sure if I will get back here for a few days...except this evening I will be answering comments...of course...but...after that...I will be devoting my time to Miss V...and making sure that she doesn't miss her Mom too too much...this will be the longest they have been apart in nearly 4 years! I have to admit...I hope I can do it! Fingers crossed for me...I AM OLD!!! hahaha!

Take care...enjoy your day...evening...week...weekend etc...

                             Cheers!  :o)

                                linda ♥️

  2. Yes high five to June . . . . and bring on the better weather . .

Well I've know a few Susans in my time but never a black eyed one . . haha
    Love those beautiful white blooms.

You should be rightly proud of your little helper. They do want to help don't they? Peter loves to.
With a nanna like you she is bound to be ok and I thing you can muster up the stamina.

It is half term this week so I am having a break from child minding duties and swapping them for building fences, digging hedges and all manner of activity clearly designed to keep Eddie out of trouble . . . haha
    Have a good evening . . . :)

Don't you have perennials? Of course you do.....and....you have chickens!

    2. I have a few perennials, but a lot of them pulled a no-show last year.
My green-thumbed gardeners moved out, and now I'm hoping the one boy who will remain has a good green thumb and will help me out. Or... maybe I'll head out to the flower store tomorrow.

    2. Yes, I've noticed that the little New Yorkers watch all kinds of fun stuff. And they're so at home with technology, as I'm sure Miss V. is! Have fun...

  12. Linda, those peonies are absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had some here. I really need to buy a plant or two of them. I hope you have a great time with Miss V while her mom is away and that she doesn't get too lonely for her. And I hope you have extra energy to entertain for 4 days and nights! You'll need a vacation after the weekend. Haha. Enjoy!! xx Pam

  14. Smiled at the picture of Miss V sitting in that chair, feet dangling ... all too soon they will be reaching the ground. ENJOY her while you can ... time passes so quickly. LOVE the peony pictures ... must try those in my garden ... their scent is wonderful! Linda

  15. I have 3 peonies, one bloomed and is finished already, the other two are still in bud. I think we have the same white one with the pink/red edging. Love your photos of them. You are a great grandma to help Miss V plant her own garden. Maybe one at the cottage too will keep her occupied. That is a beauty of a wicker chair, and I would leave it just as it is with that beautiful colour (maybe a fun little cushion for the tush!). You both will enjoy the extra time together, as long as you get a nice afternoon nap you'll both do fine ;) ha ha!
    Enjoy!
