Beautiful Begonia......

This is the Begonia that I brought inside last Fall...

I loved the colour soooo much....

She shrivelled to one leaf...I kept watering and talking to her...

While I was in  Florida, she suffered another setback...{guess she missed me!}

I moved forward...kept an eye on her...she started to respond...

When the weather warmed up at the end of May...outside she went...

I put her in a nice sheltered spot...kept her watered...removed dead leaves...

And.....look at what she gave me!!!!

How beautiful is this??

Do you ever over-winter annuals???

Do you have good luck???

                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is Saturday...and we are home since yesterday afternoon...
We are waiting for the kids to arrive, and then we are off to the country for a wedding reception for my Nephew. He married in Mexico, and this is a reception for those who did not make the trek to Mexico!!
Still bloody hot here...hope they have lots of umbrellas!!
           Enjoy your weekend...
                  Cheers!  :o)
  1. Beautiful colour. Enjoy the reception. Way too hot here, and still dry, water restrictions in the big towns, those of us on wells are conserving, conserving, conserving. Lots of wells in the area are dry, we are still lucky with water right now, but you never know.
  2. Begonias were a favourite flower of a dear deceased old friend of mine. I think of her every time I see them.
    1. I HATE throwing plants away! They have to be terminally ill for me to let them go!
  5. She shriveled to one leaf and then had another setback? You do have a green thumb!
  6. Oh, how pretty! And what a great story too.
    I tried keeping a geranium alive inside years ago, but I think I over-loved it. Ha ha!
    1. HI Martha...yes, that can happen too! Sometimes it is too much water when inside...I have been guilty of that too!
  7. Pretty begonia! I had one over the winter that looked pretty bad, and it has perked up very nicely...but only a couple of blooms. Maybe it needs some food....
  8. Your begonia is stunning... was well worth chatting with and getting it through to the summer! I brought three geraniums in last fall and they made it nicely through the winter.
    Enjoy the wedding celebration. We've cooled off a bit. I hope everyone else does, too.
    Have a great week!
    1. She must have really been listening to me,eh?? I told her all my woes, and she decided to cheer me up! hahaha!
      I got one geranium thru the winter, and she is outside...not looking her best though...she has been in and out for a few years...might be time to put her out of her misery!
      Not cooling off here...going back into the upper 90's!!
  10. Although it is still warm, it has cooled off here considerably. The best part is the humidity is down. I'm enjoying every minute.
    Love your begonia! Such a lovely color! I have overwintered geraniums, but that's about it. Mine did really well for several years, then just didn't come back in the spring. I guess plants have a life span and when they're done, they're done.
