Bits & Bobs.....

A few pics from last weekend at the cottage...

My Daturas were fabulous...I finally got to see them open up! They usually bloom when I am not there!!

I love my windchime on the Sunporch...

Fresh Hydrangeas for the kitchen porch, along with a few tomatoes form my planter...

Nice beach glass and interesting stones from the beach...

A Snail on the ceiling in the garden shed!

My Delphinium that my daughter Lissa brought me, had shrivelled, but last weekend there was an abundance of new growth! YAY!!!

Lots of pretty blooms in the garden...

And...of course...that Sunset...to die for!!

Hope you are all having a great day...

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts on my last post...much appreciated!!

It is Friday...and we are off to the cottage! Stayed home. as the rain was unbelievable yesterday...and it was sooooo humid! We figured we were better off here at home...

Saturday...we are off to our son's house...he has had a new deck and fence built...and we are all going to christen it!! It will be great to see all the kids again! And of course Miss V ♥️
I have bought a gluten-free baguette...it is in the freezer...and I am going to make Bruschetta and take that along...My daughter will be thrilled!!

Hope you all have a great weekend...

         Enjoy!!

             Cheers!  :o)

                 linda ♥️

ps...sleepover went well...Miss V appeared in our room at 3am..."Nana...can I sleep with you?"..."No problem Doll"...I moved over..to the middle...I hate the middle...I had 2 " of pillow...no control over the sheet...:o(...the topper came at around 6am..."Nana...I am not very comfortable!"..."Really?...me neither!" And then we laughed and hugged...then I dragged my crippled body from the bed! Awwwww....until the next adventure ♥️♥️♥️

  1. Do you collect your beach glass? Friends of ours have a cottage along Lake Huron and they have a pretty glass jar that they have collected beach glass in over the years. It looks so nice. Beautiful blooms! -Jenn

  8. Just catching up with your last blog, felt both your sadness and gratefulness. Life is full of adjustments! Love the saga of Miss V. crawling into your bed, it made me giggle. Enjoy your family at your son's house. The gluten-free bruschetta sounds wonderful, you're such a caring mom/grandma. We're having my BF's kids/grandkids here for brunch on Sunday, it's his birthday. Have a lovely weekend and stay cool...

    1. I love the Datura...a lot of people won't grow them,as the seeds are poisonous...I keep a close eye on mine whenever there are wee ones around...never had a problem...they grow from seed beautifully! Perhaps you can add them to your lovely gardens!

even MORE special if that's possible!
